President Donald Trump would beat President Joe Biden in the race for the White House, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis would lose to the sitting president in the general election, according to a new Premise poll.
Here are how the numbers break down in the poll:
42% of registered voters say they would cast their ballots for Trump in the general election if he secures the GOP presidential nomination, while 40% say they would vote for Biden. 19% were uncertain.
37% of registered voters say they would vote for Biden, while 33% said they would cast their ballots for DeSantis if he wins the Republican presidential nomination.

Simple explanation: there is some sizable number of Trump voters who say they will not vote for anyone else.

Why should I believe this?
Why shouldn’t you believe it? Do you honestly believe that Biden got 81 million votes legitimately? I think Trump would get so much support that they couldn’t even cheat to win it this go around.
As another stated, this poll only shows a 2% win with huge undecided.
That’s if it is a good sampling in both size and scope.
2% is poor lead and very cirvcumventable. Just like last time. Trump is not a shoo-in and easily beatable. Never mind if they put in a rock star like Newsom.
Like the old joke: if the election were held today, most people would be surprised.
Biden isn’t running.
It’s either Big Mike or Gavin Newsom, or some combination of the two.
The caveat here is that the election has to be at least somewhat fair, with potential fraud steered away from at every opportunity. Some states are hopelessly mired in a commitment to shift the election to a certain direction, regardless of actual voter preferences. Other states have no enthusiasm at all for anything like a bipartisan approach, only a few are rightly concerned with getting a true voice of the people into the legislatures and executive branches.
Maybe, just maybe, America might stand up and BE American again. Just like that silly old ram in the song “High Hopes”. (Whoops, there goes another billion-kilowatt dam!)
