Mine as well. Any GOP candidate that defends what the DOJ is doing to Trump will not be one who would stand up for conservatives against a crooked DOJ and FBI.
Just waking up, funny to see how 15 seconds of a much longer detailed answer is taken so out of context and the knee-jerk responses as a result. DeSantis is not excusing Trump’s behavior yet he is clearly objecting to Trump’s political persecution by the Biden DOJ/FBI. What more could anyone ask for?

A corrupt Democrat-appointed special counsel acting at the behest of a senile, perverted Democrat president is. How is Trump himself going to fare under another four years of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris?
At some point, we are going to have to think about actually winning elections instead of feel-good statements and platitudes to be rid of those who are actually out to destroy us.

Well there are other headlines more honest 'DeSantis defends Trump'. He has been joined by Haley in defending Trump. Asa Hutchison on the other hand has again called for Trump to suspend his campaign.
I agree. But he also wanted to stick in a subtle criticism of how Trump responded that day. He left himself open to this type of dishonest attack which, as the comments on this thread show, is very effective. The downside was too big to go there.

It’s the ‘republican’ party that has shown it conspired and colluded with the left to commit election fraud so Trump didn’t win the presidency.
