Description: This is a very interesting video presentation by Michael Shellenberger of how Wokesters kill cities by enabling drug addicts, mental illness, and homelessness. Michael Shellenberger's thesis is that Wokesters need victims as part of their Marxist indoctrination. Having an identified group of victims in their environment gives them a sense of purpose.
Note that there is absolutely NO plan to rescue these victims from the problems that plague them. In fact, rescuing these victims would be an anathema to the Wokesters because it would remove a victim and thereby remove a source of pleasure/sense of purpose.
Shellenberger refers to this need of victims as a mass case of Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome which most of us know as a condition whereby a parent creates a fantasy illness for a child to get attention from doctors and provide the public appearance and internal sense of fulfillment to the parent as a "caregiver."
The talk runs for about an hour and then the Q and A begins. Both the talk and the Q&A are very interesting.
The KOMO "Seattle is Dying" ends with an actual answer, which of course the Democrats in Seattle totally ignore. Proving the assertion that "there is absolutely NO plan to rescue these victims from the problems that plague them."
The naive and simplistic "oppressor-oppressed" game requires no real thought and NO answers. Only punishment for the assigned oppressors by the "oppressed." Oddly the progressive elite are not oppressed....
Lots of people like having a friend or acquaintance who they can point to and secretly flex how they themselves are more successful.
Especially, if “helping”(sabotaging) the disadvantaged makes themselves look good by comparison.

That's why Shellenberger (in this talk) says that San Francisco and California are only going to get worse. Liberals are loving it.
Human feces and people shooting up on the street reminds the liberals that the group they "care for" is thriving.
Government draws sociopaths as files to honey. Money and power are irresistible to these folks, and what better way to protect one’s self from prosecution for crimes committed than controlling the means of prosecution?
The vast sums of money available for pilfering, and the shield from prosecution that control of the justice system gives them is the perfect environment for their nefarious activities. The worse things are, the more money pours in to “fix” the problems they have created.
Communists need the system to collapse to demonstrate why we need to put them in charge to fix everything.
Perhaps an Upton Sinclair Memorial Campground should be set up in some wasteland at least 60 minutes drive from San Francisco.
There in lieu of all other governmental handouts recreational drug fanciers could set up tents and receive more than lethal amounts of ‘free’ [i.e. government-funded] recreational drugs.
Purposefully and joyfully creating chaos and misery for the people in their charge. How is that qualitatively any different than a job description for demons?
Drug users and addicts come from all around to buy drugs in the camps.
Addicts have to sell to get the cash to feed their own habits.
All those drugs shot up by street addicts aren't delivered by Santa Claus. There's a system. A flow of drugs through homeless encampments out to the rest of the surrounding countryside.
Drugs and cash flowing like life-blood.
The Woketard leftists (especially in the city council and with the current and previous mayors) have been destroying Austin in the same way.

The drug cartels are also the reason why corrupt city officials refuse to prosecute most theft cases. Theft is what gives the druggies the cash they need for their habit.
The woke prosecutors get their victim class and they also get sponsored by the cartels because they keep the druggies on the street with cash.

The City States in coalition control their states and thus the country.
For America to be Americ, the City States must be destroyed. They are in fact self destructing.
There must be no effort to stop or impede or reverse that process
