More than a third of student loan borrowers spent money they otherwise would not have when they believed a portion of their debt would be forgiven by the Biden administration.

Spending money you don’t have - what could go wrong?
The Biden Admin is twisting itself into knots to forgive the students who took out these loans.
Forgiving the improvident and punishing the frugal.
and they all voted for biden.....what ever happened to the days when a carton of cigarettes or a fifth of hooch would buy your vote.
....which means they didn’t actually need the loan forgiveness??
They put their faith in Biden...BIG mistake - but they’ll vote for him again.
Don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched.
Because spending that money was that, and NOTHING else.
Stupid.
HUSBAND: Sweetheart, we haven't had the second mortgage approved on the house, but it is a done deal, for sure. I have the contractor scheduled to be here tomorrow to begin. The second mortgage should have been approved by now, but...I am going to tell the contractor to begin building that swimming pool for us.
WIFE: What? Are you stupid?
I bet it was WAY MORE than a third of them.
yup...they will...
Two thirds of student debt is owed by women. The other 1/3 they speak of must be the men who were left out of the debt forgiveness.
They had 3 full years of no interest accrual. Most of these borrowers could have paid off their loans. Each dollar paid would have gone to principal. SMDH
A line from Animal House comes to mind:”You f’d up; you trusted us.”
It goes back to Colonial days in America. Some people..about 20% would be my guess... wanted everyone else to do the lifting while they relaxed and enjoyed the fruits of other men’s labor.
So, it is not as if they did not have the money to pay their student loan payments. They just preferred to spend that money on other things such as vacations, tattoos, etc.
This type of thinking is to be expected from people who borrowed more than they could afford to pay back. Do any schools teach about personal finances?
They could have save about 50k in that amount of time.
Assuming they work but live at home and do not pay for food or rent.
1/3 admitted they did this
1/3 did this but did not admit it
1/3 didn’t care either way. YOLO!
This should highlight why socialism and communism can never work.
“More than a third of student loan borrowers spent money they otherwise would not have when they believed a portion of their debt would be forgiven by the Biden administration.”
Losers.
Three years of 100% towards principle is a gift. “THESE” people must have economic majors like AOC. Charge these STUPID people DOUBLE!!!!
