President Biden found himself momentarily lost in his own words after he called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “Vladimir”, the forename of his Russian enemy, before correcting himself in Vilnius, Latvia on Wednesday.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the annual NATO summit, hosted this year in Vilnius, Lithuania, U.S. President Biden read from his notes as he made remarks about the developing relationship between the alliance and Ukraine.
Saying that NATO had cleared a path to membership for Ukraine, Biden went on to speak of new promises the alliance was making to the country. Trying to refer to his opposite on a first-name basis, the U.S. President said: “Vladimir and I… we… uh… I shouldn’t be so familiar. Erm, Mr Zelensky and I talked about what guarantees we can make in the meantime…”.

Zelensky is Vladimir. Or Waldemar. Same name, slightly different pronunciation. John, Jan, Ivan, Johann, Ioannes, Juan, Euan, Owen, Owain.

I see he dissed his t-shirt and opted for a nice suit for such a formal gathering.
If you didn't know, you'd think he was part of the maintenance crew, called up to repair something.
Well, “Volodomyr” and “Vladmir” are the same name, just transliterated differently. This is like calling someone “Binyamin” instead of “Benjamin”.
It’s strange how “we” automatically supported Ukraine as soon as this started. No questions, no discussion. Nothing. It’s almost like the PTB fear secrets coming out of Ukraine.

Really, folks, he should be in an assisted living home. I know people in such a position that function better than this man. What a shame he is said to represent “me” on the world stage... he doesn’t. The most powerful man in the world is a doddering old fool. (I’m 82, so I can say it!).
