The founder and former director of a Portland-based charity has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison after being found guilty of stealing more than $321,000 in Covid relief money.
In addition to time behind bars, 62-year-old Theodore Johnson of the now-defunct Ten Penny International Housing Foundation was also ordered to pay back the full amount to the US Small Business Administration and Oregon Department of Administrative Services.
According to the Department of Justice, Johnson founded Ten Penny in 2017 and served as its director of operations. In 2021, the United States government began rolling out its Covid relief plan, and Johnson "saw an opportunity to fraudulently obtain government funds on Ten Penny’s behalf."
He, alongside countless other small business owners, quickly applied for a Paycheck Protection Program loan, claiming to have 16 employees averaging $57,000 apiece. In reality, he only employed six people.

Paying all of that back is going to be a tough row to how! Usually when you’re convicted of a crime such as this, you’re not allowed to hold a future job where you handle any kind of money.

My goodness! It would take many years to list all the grift, graft, and corruption just for those you listed.
For just one example, every time I think of the corruption by the Clintons (joined by the Bushes) in the “Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund,” and their earthquake relief fake funding (99% going into politically-connected pockets), it makes me sick. There was actually emails going around at my former place of employment encouraging people to donate to that fund!
A few years ago, I heard that when a Haitian hears the word “Clinton” they spit at the person who says the word.
It doesn’t help in the here and now, but those people will have to answer to God for their greed and avarice.

In the past, I wondered how true the statements were from the Bible that said the saints would rejoice as some were tossed into the pits of hell. For no one enjoys seeing pain and torment inflicted on another, especially for eternity. After seeing so many people, politicians even, participating in or endorsing the most vile harms against children, I’ve changed my way of thinking. I believe I will be one of those rejoicing at their eternal damnation. Yes, I will continue to pray they turn from their ways, but should they not, I will certainly shed no tears over their much deserved punishment.
