Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said Monday on “CNN This Morning” that Americans value their guns more than their fellow citizens’ lives.
Scott said, “Well, my community knows this. We know that when you think about this country and the history of mass shootings, most of the time when we talk about this, we’re talking about it being a school in a rural community or a suburban white community. When it happens in Baltimore or Chicago or D.C., it doesn’t get that same attention. These black American lives, children’s lives matter just as much as anyone else. We’re just asking for all of them to be treated the same.”
He continued, “Any mass shooting, anytime anyone is murdered with an illegal gun in this country, should be treated the same because it should not happen in the country that is the leader of the free world. But it does, because we as a country still allow the sanctity of Americans’ guns to outweigh the sanctity of Americans’ lives, and particularly American children’s lives, and that is something that we have to change.”

That doesn’t make sense, because guns save lives.
No, UNCONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT outweighs the sanctity of human lives.
Considering his constituents, they certainly should outweigh them should protection from them be needed.
Translated. “Disarm our enemies, so we can easily snuff more of them.” Evil, vicious, lying scum.
Then repeal the 2nd Amendment. With your claim that there’s a national groundswell of opposition to guns repeal could be done in months.
It would be incredibly irresponsible and foolish NOT to own numerous guns in these times, under these growing fascists.
I would be silly to take what the mayor of Baltimore thinks about the Second Amendment at face value.
As the mayor of one of the most violent cities in America, his is hardly an objective opinion.
He doesn’t give a hoot about the kids in his city. If he did he would do something about crime, gangs, and single moms. All he is concerned about is power.
These aren’t Mayors, they’re Wardens of large outdoor psychiatric/prison complexes.

Stop coddling black criminals. Deal with lawbreakers in a medieval fashion, regardless of race. Break the back of crime and guns will not be an issue.

first of all, dips**t, pleple are not killed by guns, they are killed by bad people who use guns to kill other people...also, there are no “illegal” guns...yes, again, bad people use stolen, swapped, etc. guns to do bad things .....this guy is either frikkin’ stupid or is grandstanding for the fact that the democrat-run city of Baltimore is now just another hell-hole crap-town....
The reason they won’t stop coddling black criminals is because the Mayor is a black criminal.
