Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott (D) took aim at states like Florida and Virginia for not having stricter gun control laws because he says their laws result in cases such as the mass shooting that took place in his city over the weekend.
The mass shooting at a block party just after midnight resulted in almost 30 people being shot with two others killed. The New York Times reports most of the victims were teenagers and there was more than one shooter. At this time, it is not known where the firearms that were used originated from.
"Mayor Scott, you said this year alone Baltimore pd confiscated 1,300 illegal weapons. Do you have a sense of where guns are coming from, the sort of illegal supply of guns are coming from into the city?" CNN's Audie Cornish asked.
"These guns come into Maryland – I want to be very clear about this – because Maryland has gun laws that actually have an impact. We have a ghost gun ban, which is why you see those numbers coming down. But these weapons come from Virginia. They come from Texas. They come from Florida. They come from Alabama. They come from everywhere in this country," Scott replied.
"Here we are dozens of years later, decades later at this point and we’re still dealing with mass shootings because of the inaction to deal with this issue on a national level. This can no longer be an issue that falls to the feet of local police, local elected officials or state governments," he continued.

I saw film of him on Fox and thought, “That kid is the mayor of Baltimore? He looks 21.” He’s actually 39 but seems in way over his head.

How many of the weapons are coming from Ukraine? They seem to be showing up in Mexico, France, and other places, so why not Baltimore?

The reason for the murders is contained in the words “shooting at a block party.” Looks like the people who go to block parties have no moral standards and have no problem killing people when they are angry.
It’s not about guns. If you keep the street savages from getting guns they will use knives, broken wine bottles, axes, firebombs and hammers.
You, mayor, and your party have deliberately created a huge mass of people who can look forward no more than 3 seconds and are unable to understand that the consequences of their actions matter.
They may not be smart, but there are jobs they can do. Not CEO jobs, not “STEM” jobs. Pushing a broom is an honorable job.
But your party doesn’t want them to work. Your party wants them miserable so they will vote democrat. So you give them welfare that we pay for. You allow them to steal things that normal people have made. You don’t prosecute them for murder, theft, rape, arson or for anything else because you don’t like the numbers.
Your party is totally responsible for the murders.
During the Baltimore mayoral campaign last year, I heard someone being interviewed on the radio while I was driving somewhere. That person certainly sounded like a special ed student, and I wondered if they were interviewing them about a new school program or something. Turns out that interviewee was none other than the mayoral candidate Brandon Scott, now mayor. The original Mr. Duh. It is the essential nature of libtards of the dimmocommie party to deflect any personal responsibility off themselves and onto external forces. In this case, Scott blames the guns and the people who allegedly bring them in from other states, rather than the perps.

Almost 30 shot? Does that mean there were 25 shot? 26 shot?
27? 28? 29?
Then in the same sentence; “with two others killed”. Were the two dead killed from stabbing? Poison? Garrot? Suffacation?
Is it just me or has ‘journalism’ taken a deep dive into the $hitter since journalist now have to go to a university to become one?
I also sometimes wonder if maybe the demographics of a city has anything to do with these block parties turning into a Gunfight at the OK Carpark.
Clown Brandon has never explained how he is going to convince criminals to follow his gun control laws.
Let me ask a question EinNYC, do you aspire to be Mayor of Baltimore? Thought not. The list of potential aspirants is short and it is not awe inspiring.
Is it partly the fault of idiot voters: well certainly. Want smarter voters pick a different locality.
