It’s been one year since the U.S. Supreme Court handed down the widely unpopular Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health ruling, which ended the constitutional right to abortion, upending 50 years of precedent. Over the last 12 months, the American public’s already strong support for abortion rights has become even more entrenched, and the draconian bans imposed in Republican-controlled states have triggered a seismic shift in the political landscape — one that is advantageous to Democrats — surrounding the issue.
With Republicans poised to continue their anti-choice crusade in the run-up to the 2024 election, abortion is likely to remain a motivating force for voters across the country, and thus a major strength for the Democratic Party, particularly in swing states where reproductive rights hang in the balance.

Helped along by dopes like Linda Graham who undercut Dobbs sending it back to the states and gave red meat to those wine moms by immediately calling for a nationwide ban.
“Anti-choice”? The Hill is over the hill.
Roe vs. Wade going away means that everyone running for office will be having to take positions on the issue.
When Roe vs. Wade was operative, everyone could side step abortion. Now that states can pass legislation on abortion again, it is a hot political issue.
“ A ton of these suburban wine moms who start drinking at noon love them some abortion”
Legal abortion prior to viability is non-negotiable with at least 60% of the voting age population if not more.
The majority to overturn Roe included people opposed to the USSC making stuff up and opposed to the barbarism of late term abortion.
Any candidate who can be tagged with banning pre-viability abortions cannot win a statewide or national race.
Making previabity bans a GOP issue is electing Democrats in otherwise winnable races.
Simply “The Hill” is about all that is needed for dismissal. 😁👍
Damn right ... any politician who favors it does not get my vote.
It’s a lot more complicated than that. Looking at the country as a whole, which is largely a bad idea and not useful, on any given issue like this, 30% is absolutely opposed, 30% is absolutely in favor, and for the remaining 40% it depends on how the question is phrased, which way the political winds are blowing, the phase of the moon, etc.
But location is huge. Urban centers populated by crack whores are going to be 89% pro abortion for kids walking down the street.
Rural Texas (which is a lot more populous than people realize over much of the state) is going to be the exact opposite.
Yet majorities of voters agree with the Republican position and not the Democrat position.
But the Democrats are effectively able to lie and make their position be painted as mainstream, with the help and assistance of the entire media, with whispering campaigns that Republicans will prosecute women for having miscarriages, etc. And the base sits on their behinds, keeps their wallets closed, while the Dems are active on the ground and raking in tons of cash to demolish us. And then our side will crow that this had zero impact and that it was all “voter fraud.”
Get your legal marijuana and abortions in states that offer it.
I am sure that Linda’s proposals so close to the November election helped galvanize the left. The left made gains in Minnesota and control all three branches of government.
...which ended the constitutional right to abortion...

The pro abortion single issue kamikazes will continue to be a big problem in future elections.
He had to be stuck on stupid to make that statement when he did.
Pure gaslighting BS.
Allow me to rephrase one of their lines. “Finally, after an activist court changed nearly 200 years of settled law, and found a non existent right in the Constitution, the current court corrected that mistake “
Nothing is stopping them from their beloved slaughter. But Asspress and The Hill go nuts anyway.
