I like 😎
Eventually this might kill more Vietnamese than we did
Is the fire hotter than normal?
Hey!
The war was a LONG, LONG TIME AGO.
Vietnam is moving on now, has been for some time.
This is very cheap, and just 3 months from here.
BTW Vietnam now has the highest public opinion, of Americans, anywhere.
Really.
Thanks.
I think this will sell hugely here.
You have no idea. 100,000,000 people, all on motorbikes, and 3 months from this. People are rapidly gaining wealth here.
Just remember to order air-con.
No doubt assembled by slaves.
EVs are a political joke, like their lovers.
Tough crowd here.
Vietnam is a very nice place. Really.
I understand there may be some on this site, more likely than most to have some beef with Vietnam, because of what happened between our two countries, but I assure everyone Vietnam long ago got over what happened.
Lots and lots more here, lots and lots more than in America, died. A huge amount.
Try not to hold a grudge.
It has been fifty years now.
Try please.
I was disparaging China where the cars are being made, not Vietnam.
I have no bad feelings toward Vietnam.
I hate all the .gov thumbs on the scale for EVs, but cheap mini vehicles (sorta oversized golf carts) is a good use of the technology—obviously too dangerous to take on the highway—but fits in well in crowded cities with limited street parking.
Cheap is good for consumers.
From the article:
—
The company will partner with a domestic company to assemble the car in Vietnam, and its logo and brand name will also be changed for the market.
A Zhidou representative said the company will build a charging network across Vietnam that can be shared with other brands.
Currently, Zhidou’s products are sold in China, India, Russia, the U.S., and Thailand.
So how do city-dwellers charge these EV’s in Hanoi? This idea is f-ing nuts. ICE is FAR better solution. Cheaper too.
Traffic is much slower here.
This may very well improve traffic safety.
Maybe a lot.
Please try not be a one party state - communist lite. Then call me back.
Hey Joe, we charge you long time....
I agree. It may increase congestion but should make the streets quieter and much safer. Bikes and motorcycles are quite dangerous in congested areas. Horrible limb, torso and head injuries.
The electric vehicles will address a lot of urban traffic issues.
What do you have in your home or in your hands that was made in America. We disparage these places but we also made them technologically advanced.
Traffic fatalities in NYS are up double digit percentages since the lockdown.
I can’t see people who can still afford cars buying this tuna can.
Cheap to buy is not necessarily cheap to own.
Or safe to drive.
