Supreme Court rulings favor American freedom, despite what the left thinks

From the Supreme Court to America: Happy Individual Independence Day.

OK, the court didn’t actually say that, but its key rulings did.

The final cases rang out with a consistent clarity that the Constitution favors individual liberty over group rights and government power.

The distinction is what helped make America different from the start, yet to witness the hysterical outcry against the rulings, fewer and fewer Americans understand the founding principles.

Either that or they want to trash American exceptionalism so they can force everybody to think alike.

You don’t have to read the opinions to see the pattern.

You only have to see who is furiously denouncing the court as a right-wing instrument of hate and exclusion.

The list includes the usual suspects — President Biden, The New York Times, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and all the petty potentates of the progressive-media-government complex.

They are united in demanding more sweeping government power and fewer rights for individuals who dissent from their orthodoxy.

Their distorted descriptions of the rulings amount to disinformation as they try to rally their shock troops and rile up their donor bases.

Expect a fall onslaught against the court, more personal attacks on the justices and a new surge of demands for court packing.

Democrats have no concept of freedom.
It is always their way or the highway that we built.
I no longer pay any attention to progressives.
They should all be soap.

Isn’t it interesting that this is the paper that absolutely
tries to destroy Trump at every opportunity, but somehow
finds time to really appreciate what the SCOTUS did that
wouldn’t have happened without him.

I’d have a lot more room to address this, if there weren’t
so many FReepers who feel the same way about Trump.

Why he’s not a Conservative! Tell that to the left who are
licking their wounds today.

To be fair, Trump’s SCOTUS picks were wholeheartedly endorsed (and perhaps chosen) by RINO members of the Senate and their consultants.

That’s true. Sometimes we’ve been lucky with them, and sometimes we haven’t. Mitch was the one running that show and we know who/what he is.

I think that if PDJT had had true power to make choices the Court would be much more conservative.

In an alternative universe, had Hillary won and made those three Supreme Court appointments...

Sex change surgery would be mandatory by now. The state would be making the determinations...

The conservative opinions were exceedingly rational, eloquent, inspirational, and fundamentally Constitutionally based.

The progressive opinions were shallow, adolescent, impulsive, emotionally utopian and devoid of any fundamental constitutional rational.

I’m just so thankful we dodged that bullet in 2016!

Schools are no longer teaching about our Constitution.

Informing Gen-Zers I work with who have a brain to the Hillsdale College course on the Constitution.

They love it!

Why he’s not a Conservative!

Well he's not. A true conservative looks like Paul Ryan who is smart enough to understand that we just needed to use a Congressional majority give Obama everything he wanted in the budget so they could then have the time to turn to "conservative" legislation, which of course Obama would then veto. So, no, Trump is not a conservative - and Thank God for that.

As Gorsuch put it: In some places, the dissent gets so turned around about the facts that it opens fire on its own position.

Right... the guy that single-handedly prevented Trump’s conservative agenda especially as it concerned eviscerating ObamaCare.

Which is why I immediately react negatively the second someone is described as a conservative. Much more important is what he stands for and what he does about it. I am guessing that RFK Jr and I have more things we diagree about than agree about, but bassed on what he has done about things he says he believes in he rates a whole lot higher in my books than 75% - 85% of the pols who masquerade uner the GOP label.

For a while there, there was a hit article a day. I may have
it wrong, but I do believe it was the Post, because I used to
think of one bad Post and one good.

The Washington Post and the New York Post, were the two
papers and I remarked to myself that both were now bad.

I used to agree with your take on the NYPost, but I had to
accept it had changed earlier this year.

We’ll see how it goes from here. I’d like to think it
could get over Trump. And then again as I stated, I can’t
say 100% sure you’re wrong, but I believe you are this
time.

The Supreme Court repeatedly ruled in favor of individual freedom on Thursday and Friday. The Left will never forgive a certain 6 Justices for it.
