Prosecutors are prepared to hit Trump and his allies with new charges, sources say
Independent ^ | 06/29/2023 | Andrew Feinberg

Posted on 07/01/2023 6:29:54 AM PDT by thegagline

The Department of Justice is prepared to seek indictments against multiple figures in former president Donald Trump’s orbit and may yet bring additional charges against the ex-president in the coming weeks, The Independent has learned.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the department has made preparations to bring what is known as a “superseding indictment” — a second set of charges against an already-indicted defendant that could include more serious crimes — against the ex-president in the Southern District of Florida.

But prosecutors may also choose to bring additional charges against Mr Trump in a different venue, depending on how they feel the case they have brought against him in is proceeding.

The Independent understands that prosecutors’ decision on whether to seek additional charges from a grand jury — and where to seek them — will depend in part on whether they feel the Trump-appointed district judge overseeing the case against him in the Southern District of Florida, Aileen Cannon, is giving undue deference to the twice-impeached, now twice-indicted former president.

The team of federal prosecutors working under Special Counsel Jack Smith is currently prepared to add an “additional 30 to 45 charges” in addition to the 37-count indictment brought against Mr Trump on 8 June, either in a superseding indictment in the same Florida court or in a different federal judicial district. In either case, they would do so using evidence against the ex-president that has not yet been publicly acknowledged by the department, including other recordings prosecutors have obtained which reveal Mr Trump making incriminating statements.

Before everybody gets all kray kray sit back and ask yourself when was the last time you saw a guy in a 14 car presidential motorcade with ambulance and 20 state police motorcycle escort roll out of a black SUV surrounded by state department level security bruisers carrying PPWs and walk in a building and get arrested? Yeh that.

Take a deep breath and then forget what all the puppets on TV are telling you and do some critical thinking. Where is the proof Donald Trump got arrested, finger printed, appeared in front of a judge etc etc? There isn’t any. Because there were no cameras or video equipment allowed in the NYC or Miami courthouse. After all the smearing and hateful vitriol they finally get to indict and arrest Trump but decide to be courteous and not photograph any of it. Seriously? They want to put Trump in prison for 40 years but don’t want to embarrass him with video or photos. Raise your hand if you’re buying that. Its ridiculous.

All of this stuff is a build up to get people to wake up and its working. The seal is broken if they can arrest Trump they can arrest Biden and Obama. That’s where this is going.

These weaponized, Soros DOJ bastards should be forced to get a job or go to jail for harassing President Trump and his family. They appear to have way to much free time on their hands. Maybe cutting back on their funding would help. This is a bigger abuse of power than that used against St. Georgie Floyd. Trump should start filing a lawsuit against each one of these peckerheads.

I’m not giving up the fight, and I certainly still think this is the greatest nation on earth, but the Trump experiment has almost certainly failed. He simply threatened too much yet delivered too few results, especially in the games of politics and lawfare. His forte was business, and thus he did well on the economy, but it’s no longer just the economy, stupid.

You need smart, tactful lawyers, to manage the deep waters of the deep state, and Trump’s picks of Sessions as AG, and Cohen and Giuliani as his personal frontmen were all a disaster, and he’s been stuck in judicial hell ever since, and left the country stuck in his tragic soap opera.

But Trump’s time will soon pass, and a new set of leaders will thankfully arrive, who are more doers than just talkers, whoever they may be. And once that huge distraction is out of the way, people will be able to better focus on the bad guys on the left, which is completely impossible right now.

“The people doing this have homes and families. Doxx them. Make their lives a living hell. Treat them the way leftists treat us. It is time to get in people’s faces. Make them deeply regret their choice.”

And that will accomplish NOTHING. You have to cut off the head of the snake to eliminate the threat. Unless or until that happens, the threat will continue.... and get worse.

Knowing who is acting as that “head” is the key. It sure as hell isn’t Biden or Garland. It’s the one(s) giving the orders to Biden and Garland.

I think their goal is get him declared as a flight risk and get a judge to issue a travel ban so he can’t hold rallies everywhere.

The DOJ is placing the noose around it’s own neck with such open one sided law enforcement by letting Biden go free of all the illegal actions he’s done with overwhelming evidence.

That department will be dissolved and replaced to much Marxism happening FIB ain’t looking any better.

You’re blaming the victim.

Trump did everything he could to make good on his campaign promises, and the insane Communist opposition terrorized him every step of the way and still are.

His personnel picks failures are theirs and theirs alone. In many cases - e.g. Barr - he relied on recommendations from so-called rock solid Establishment Republicans. That they turned out to be backstabbing traitors is all on them, not him. THEY broke the trust.

“Moving On” is a Rat trope, Genius. The idea is to get you to give in. In private, they smirk and laugh at anyone who buys the line. Currently, that would be you.

Maybe his lawyers could ask the SCOTUS for a permanent injunction against the DOJ.

Trump will never go to prison. That was never the goal. The entire goal is to prevent him from being President again where he could hold all these miscreants accountable for all the crimes they are committing today.

You know, the DOJ, FBI, Biden admin, the Rat party, the media cucks who carry their water and their owners. The WEF, the globalists in general, you know the gaggle of gangland crime.

The only difference between the average street criminals and those mentioned above is their connections to governments and filthy rich people. There’s really no fundamental difference in their behavior. Criminals are criminals who belong in prison. Trump has never been a criminal. That’s another reason they hate him. He’s not in their cartel of cuckiness.

The goal is to ban him from office, like the horiffic corruptocracy known as Brazil just did to Bolsanaro.

This is an Obama gig. He did it to a ton of people coming up, most notably Jack Ryan. That it was never successfully done to him for the obvious reason that he was never qualified to be President is merely another in a long line of Right wing comical failures.

But Trump ain’t Romney or BobDole. He’s not backing off, he’s doubling down. They may think it’s Brazil now, but he ain’t planning to let them make it that.

Most Americans see this for what it is. A continued with hunt against
a former President who is running for President again.
They see the double standard of Justice and are appalled.
The more fake indictments, the more his poll numbers will continue to rise.
I will vote for him regardless even if I have to write his name in.

Pence, Christie, Scott and DeSantis will not be getting Trump’s endorsement, or his loyal followers.

+++++++++++++

Actually much of what you are saying regarding Kari Lake is spot on. Assumming the marxists in DC succeed in damaging / imprisoning, etc. PDJT, what happens to the hardcore Trump base? That person would need to get PDJT's full throated endorsement and with that backing and support, in my opinion would be the odds on favorite to succeed Trump in the MAGA movement.

I do agree that Kari Lake could in fact be that person. I'm as hardcore about supporting Trump over any other person in my 59 years (41 years of voting over 18 y/o). It would not take much for me to support Kari Lake 100%. The rest of the squishy cast of "republican" clown show characters interest me about as much as Jeb Bush did (hint - Jeb Bush = 0%)

This is from Andrew Feinberg, who worked for Breakfast Media. He is just a Democrat hack activist posing as a journalist, not an actual journalist.

“they want to bring charges in DC, where they have a nice big pool of woke-democrat Fed.gov and deep-state employees to choose from.”

They want charges in a jurisdiction that voted 93% for FJB. Odds of a Trump voter on the jury is practically nil.

You’re blaming the victim.

You could say that, if you didn't know the full story of how I strongly supported Trump for many years. I made a special trip to the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City when it first opened, and had followed him ever since. I strongly supported him as the nominee, and went from listening to Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh every day, to turning them off forever after they spoke poorly of him at that time. I followed his every move while he was President, and supported him constantly here on FR, even creating new threads for some of his rallies or teleconferences.

So I rode on his back, hard, until the wheels started coming off in 2020. The lockdowns, the free rent, over a cold virus, all horrible. I thought J6 was a terrible end to his Presidency, and something that would dog him forever. I'm not the only Freeper who felt that way, we lost one of our best posters SkyPilot that day. It started dawning on me, that Trump was causing just as much damage, as he was doing good.

So while he's obviously been unfairly targeted by the leftist gestapo, he's not 100% the victim. His 2016 campaign promises have not aged well. Did not lock her up. Did not build a wall, much less make Mexico pay for it. Did not balance the budget or debt. And most importantly, did not drain the swamp. In fact, he augmented it with many of his picks.

You can try to blame others for Trump's picks, but that is another failed campaign promise, that HE would pick the very best, replacing those idiots currently in government, himself, he constantly said. He also said we'd get tired of winning, but we don't hear that one much anymore either.

He's wreaked so much havoc that he's got a lot more people after him than ever. I hate that, and hope he is able to escape any unfair prosecutions, but some of the things he did brought this on himself. You don't call for "a rally" during the electoral college vote, and hide classified documents when you receive a subpoena, and think you can then just call for more riots to make it go away.

So Trump has become an Albatros, unfortunately. He's so incredibly polarizing he'll never be elected, or able to govern again, I don't think. Others obviously feel differently. We just need to be careful he doesn't lead us any further over the ledge than he already has, since it's so far been proven his tactics aren't working. Thanks.

Anericans in general don’t have the ‘guts’ for a french revolùtion style reaction. The covid lockdown, the test for martial law, proved that. Americans will get on their knees to preaerve their jobs and mortgage lifestyles.

Are there a few excèptions? Of course, but not enough to make tormentors scared. They keep dreaming up chit to smack pèople with as as opposed to acting right.

Yes, they will go after Trump some more. Take one so-called crime and spin it 35 different ways like he did the first one.
Schummer said they have how many different ways to get Trump? Right now they are laughing at him as he spins like a marionette. And who’s stopping it??
Why not.
