Prosecutors are prepared to hit Trump and his allies with new charges, sources say
Independent ^ | 06/29/2023 | Andrew Feinberg

Posted on 07/01/2023 6:29:54 AM PDT by thegagline

The Department of Justice is prepared to seek indictments against multiple figures in former president Donald Trump’s orbit and may yet bring additional charges against the ex-president in the coming weeks, The Independent has learned.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the department has made preparations to bring what is known as a “superseding indictment” — a second set of charges against an already-indicted defendant that could include more serious crimes — against the ex-president in the Southern District of Florida.

But prosecutors may also choose to bring additional charges against Mr Trump in a different venue, depending on how they feel the case they have brought against him in is proceeding.

The Independent understands that prosecutors’ decision on whether to seek additional charges from a grand jury — and where to seek them — will depend in part on whether they feel the Trump-appointed district judge overseeing the case against him in the Southern District of Florida, Aileen Cannon, is giving undue deference to the twice-impeached, now twice-indicted former president.

The team of federal prosecutors working under Special Counsel Jack Smith is currently prepared to add an “additional 30 to 45 charges” in addition to the 37-count indictment brought against Mr Trump on 8 June, either in a superseding indictment in the same Florida court or in a different federal judicial district. In either case, they would do so using evidence against the ex-president that has not yet been publicly acknowledged by the department, including other recordings prosecutors have obtained which reveal Mr Trump making incriminating statements.

The DOJ is looking for a more favorable venue to take down Trump. He will be in prison orange before long.

Calling Kari Lake!

One endorsement from Trump will make her a leader, of both the polls and of the nation.

Only Trump’s ego and continued freedom stands in her way.

But prosecutors may also choose to bring additional charges against Mr Trump in a different venue,

they want to bring charges in DC, where they have a nice big pool of woke-democrat Fed.gov and deep-state employees to choose from.

These people will be cutting their own throats politically by clearing a path for Kari Lake.

She is female, known to be able to work with gay men, and has the motivation to fight since she was cheated in Arizona.

Trump’s lawyers should offer to pay a $50,000 fine (Sandy Berger’s amount) or the leftists will have President Kari Lake come January 20th, 2025.

Pence, Christie, Scott and DeSantis will not be getting Trump’s endorsement, or his loyal followers.

[[that could include more serious crimes]]

More serious than the fasle charge of espionage?

The reason they are bringing more charges, or want to, is beczuse the first asinine list of charges is falling apart at the seams

“Time after time in the Clinton years, then-National Security Adviser Sandy Berger was reluctant to approve military strikes against Osama bin Laden or al Qaeda, according to the 9/11 commission report.”

“That revelation comes as Berger faces the ‘Socks-Docs’ criminal investigation into whether he illegally snuck top-secret documents out of the National Archives in his socks while vetting material for the 9/11 Commission.”

Turbocharged despotism

Since we aren’t in the streets demanding an end to this state terrorism, Mad Jack wants to ramp it up

45 new charges? Why not 100, or 1000?

Criminalize every step he takes, every breath

And this is “justice”?

It’s Tinpot Terrorism

Why not add jaywalking and tearing the tags off mattresses? The Deep State is so obsessed with bringing down Trump they will do anything. Yet evidence mounts everyday that Biden took payments from foreign governments and oligarchs in exchange for political favors and crickets in the media.

Consider if Trump gets re-elected. He is a very get even guy and will declare jihad on the deep state. However, there is another chilling prospect. If the2024 election is again rigged by the deep state and the transformation of America into a socialist police state continues there could be a revolution. I would look at something like the French Revolution as a likely scenario. The next January 6 incident could be a storming of the Bastille.

The country has experienced a color revolution. The government is dressed in the clothing of the former US government, but it is a very different thing.

Donald Trump and his supporters are to be suppressed. It’s been decided, both “major” parties and their leaders are on board, the impending arrest of Rudy Giuliani is designed to round up or shut up a few GOP stragglers who are still in office, but the goal is to effect a “sauve qui peut” reaction among the defeated and fleeing MAGA army.

You talk about “impeachment” and “prison” for the generals of the victorious army. What happens to Biden and his immediate family is of course unimportant, because they are unimportant characters in a stage play called “The US government still exists as before”.

Except it doesn’t.

Ask the guy who was last in charge of the DOJ for four full years.

That may sound harsh, but to a lot of people who don't follow politics but do follow sports (and this country is full of them) they just see this as Trump talked a lot of trash about locking Hillary up, but now might get locked up himself since he named the game, but failed.

Yes yes I know there's a lot more to it than that, but that is the bottom line, to many.

“The team of federal prosecutors working under Special Counsel Jack Smith”

By federal regulations, I believe the prosecutors in a national security case have to work under a man named Jay Bratt, Chief of the Counterintelligence and Export Control Section (CES) of the National Security Division of the DoJ.

Why the DoJ is paying Jack Smith mystifies me. The House should ask Merrick Garland to explain Jack Smith’s continued employment as a special counsel. Either Jack Smith should be hired by CES as a regular DoJ employee or he should be canned.

‘Gentlemen and ladies of the DoJ’, make sure Merrick Garland understands that it is a check or President Kari Lake.

In a political prosecution, the political aspects determine the result.

The facts don’t matter, but the politics do.

Democrats in DC need to check their hatred for Trump.

Imagine they convict and imprison Trump.

Kari Lake will very likely become President on January 20th, 2025. If Trump is her Vice President, she could pardon him, resign and put him back into the Oval Office again.

I wonder what the DoJ budget will be in FY2026.

Re: 19 - you left out a bit in your imagination.

If President Trump is convicted of a Federal crime related to classified data, it’s possible he will be impeached and convicted.
