The Supreme Court has struck down President Joe Biden's $400 billion student loans forgiveness plan in another bombshell decision.
The justices ruled 6-3 against Biden's controversial plan to wipe out debts for around 20 million Americans, which the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked in October.

THANK GOD for the four years of President Trump who was able to restore some sanity to the USA. His court appointments have all proven excellent the past few days.
The DOAJ* MUST raid the six justices homes at dawn! They must be arrested, I’m sure Herr Garland can find “crimes” that the six offending justices committed somewhere, sometime.
*DOAJ, Department of Anti-Justice! They’ve gone far beyond mere injustice.
Biden will be speaking sooooooooon, is to announce NEW ACTIONS to protect student borrowers.
Does the opinion say explicitly that Bidin exceeded his authority>
This won’t change a single vote in the election. Everyone is polarized to the max.
The winner will be who floods the boxes with the most ballots.
These decisions are righteous and decisions should not be made on whether it will win or lose votes for a political party.
with the executive branch NOT in agreement and all power for physical enforcement resting in that branch... I am wishing we could see a pathway for enforcement... congress has no enforcement police or armies... neither does the supreme court...
we NEED an enforcement mechanism...
McCarthy stripped the freedom caucus of their power of the purse persuasion. so though the supremes may have gotten it right... there is no way to stop biden admin from passing out money from other areas of the budget that we cannot claw back.
or so it seems...
HERE’s A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO THE STUDENT DEBT CRISIS:
1. YOU TOOK OUT A LOAN
2. PAY IT BACK
AMEN!! Truly Thank God for bringing us President Trump and his excellent appointments to SCOTUS.
I take it that this decision was based on the idea that a President does not have the authority to forgive debt, not on the fact that picking and choosing who has debt relief is not Constitutional.
Could a bill such as this be considered Constitutional if it was passed by Congress?
I think it would not be, but if RATs are in control, who knows?
Money that loaners were accustomed to pay for other items will now be used to repay the government loans. The economy will suffer and so will Biden’s reelection chances.
Questions for ChatGPT about student loans:
What % of student loans were for money paid to For Profit universities.
Answer: the usual blah blah and then . . . 10% of total institutions of higher learning in the US are For Profit universities. A disproportionate 35% of student loans were paid to these institutions. And nearly 50% of all loan defaults were from these loans.
Is Duke a For Profit university?
Answer: No. Duke is a non profit research institution of prestigious educational classification. As a non profit, its focus is not on earnings to shareholders or non incorporated owners
1. YOU TOOK OUT A LOAN
2. PAY IT BACK
3. If you chose a worthless major leading to a low-paying, dead-end career, TOUGH NOOGIES. It’s nobody’s fault but your own. If you have to work 40 years to pay it back, so be it. It’s YOUR FAULT.
This should be the least controversial of the recent Court decisions - it’s a straightforward procedural matter.
Yes, congress could forgive the debt via passing a law to do so. In addition to the government being the creditor, the constitution places a prohibition on states passing laws to modify private contracts, but there is no such prohibition on the federal government from doing so.
That is EXACTLY right. He stuck by all of them, even when Kavenuagh was going to through hell. Anyone else (DeSantis, Pence, Christie and any other republicans) would have pulled them or ever nominated them because they would have been too "controversial".
Way back when...I paid mine off while I was an E-2/E-3 in the early 1970's even though payment could have been deferred while on active duty.
This won’t change a single vote in the election. Everyone is polarized to the max.
The winner will be who floods the boxes with the most ballots.... only if it is a democrat.

Completed your statement for accuracy.
Nah, they just won’t pay them and in the phony election banter the conservatives will be blamed because the ignorant deadbeats had to pay their own bills.
People would probably be shocked if we knew how many “college educated” people are not working and do not want to work. Some get emotionally distraught at the mention of working.
College for most is just a 4 year playground for indoctrination.
Didn’t Trump try to pay for the Mexican-USA wall with this tactic by shifting money from the Department of Defense to the wall? The problem with Biden is that he at the very least must declare a “national emergency.” But how can you declare a national emergency if the GDP is still growing and the economy isn’t in recession?
Thanks for your response.
