(Of course Obama wanted a “civi.ian military or police unit- which would,have been a very bad thing as they would have been entirely politically motivated, and would have targeted white folks only- but the guardian angels protected everyone from all thugs they encountered)

Whoa! Lakeview is (was) a lovely neighborhood. Just north of Lincoln Park. I lived in Ravenswood another lovely neighborhood with old Victorians and beautiful old trees. Chicago wasn't bad during the Daley years.
This nastiness is pretty close to Wrigley Field (Cubbies). Let's see if the business owners will rebel.

I live it SC. We have both stand your ground and the castle doctrine. Neither authorizes deadly force to protect property. In reality, both those doctrines require the imminent threat of death. We need laws that clearly allow us to defend property. We have endless discussions on these issues at my gun club.
