Mayor Eric Adams did not take kindly to one of his constituents wagging her finger at him and criticizing him for the city’s new rent increase rules Wednesday, likening her behavior to that of a plantation owner.
The showdown took place at a community conversation event Adams hosted at Gregorio Luperon High School for Science and Mathematics in Washington Heights.
In footage from the meeting, Adams can be heard asking the woman to stand up after she interrupts him to call out that he “raised the rent.”
Adams’ administration came under fire last week, when the Rent Guidelines Board voted to allow rent hikes of up to 6 percent on the Big Apple’s one million rent-stabilized apartments.

If the only to you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail
Illegally parked, in front of a fire hydrant.
Another thin-skinned liberal who talks a good game.
Adams is the p[lantation owner.
He keeps the dem slave down on the plantation looking forvhand outsvrather than they working for theyselves.
As to the Landlord.....has to be dujber tha dirt to be a landlord in NYC.She needs to liquidate and be a Landlord in Florida.
Adams is as vacant as New York office buildings.
Follow up to post 16:
Pre-war agricultural production estimated for the Southern states is as follows (Union states in parentheses for comparison): 1.7 million horses (3.4 million), 800,000 mules (100,000), 2.7 million dairy cows (5 million), 5 million sheep (14 million), 7 million cattle (5.4 million), 15.5 million swine (11.3 million), 187 million pounds of rice, 199 million pounds of tobacco (58 million), 5 million bales of cotton, 20 million bushels of oats (138 million bushels), 31 million bushels of wheat (114 million bushels), and 280 million bushels of corn (396 million bushels).
And who were the unclothed soldiers in the war? The South! The North had most of the textile manufacturing. The Southern population was dressed in rags by end of the war. The North did just fine without “plantations”.

You know with a name like that there is lots of diversity, lots of violence, and a complete lack of any scientific or mathematical literacy.
Anyone who defends this guy is a total idiot.
Meanwhile, commercial rates are collapsing, and vacancies are soaring.
And converting commercial to residential is illegal.
In fact, 60% or more of NYC properties would be illegal to build under current codes, and exist only because they were grandfathered.
NYC office space has been converted to residential in recent years.
The parking is too damn high, too.
So if a white woman told the black mayor he was acting like a plantation owner would that be racist?
I should have said it’s illegal unless you can figure out who to bribe...
I believe the powers that be actually want to convert office space to residential space, to house all the illegal aliens.
I believe it has been their plan for a number of years.
Why is it the mayor’s business what a landlord charges his tenants. Rent stabilization is an anathema. It creates housing shortages, incentivizes landlords terrorizing their tenants into leaving, and keeps the housing stock in disrepair. Let the market set the price.
