Fox News’s Martha McCallum threw Florida Governor Ron DeSantis a softball question on how he could turn his floundering campaign around. His reply? “We’re happy with what we’ve seen so far.”
McCallum first queried: “You’re at 19 percent, which I think is a little bit lower than you were prior to this… are you frustrated by the polling you’ve seen so far?”
DeSantis initially tries to not answer the question, immediately pivoting to “defeating Biden” as well as his “story and philosophy.”
McCallum pushed back, asking: “What do you think is the catalyst that moves these numbers?” DeSantis, again, attempted to pivot, before concluding, “We’re happy with what we’ve seen so far.
So far, however, DeSantis is down in almost every poll since his campaign announcement, with his staff mired in controversies, and his most vocal online supporters becoming subjects of intrigue themselves.

Personally, I’ll still vote for Trump but living in Iowa, I think Desantis is focusing on the right things in advertising against Disney, kid focused transitions etc. If he were to win the nomination, I don’t feel like I have to plug my nose when voting like I did with McCain and Romney.

It’s 100% emotional and not based on any facts. What’s odd is when challenged about his record not a single thing is brought to the forefront other than who is backing his campaign. However, if you then apply the same logic to the other side…Associations, appointments, or any other litmus test that’s applied applied as well…..silence, just emotion…I’m an RDS fan but would happily pull the lever for Trump as well. We are in a dream position having two exceptional leaders. The amount of bald face lying and gaslighting is 100% liberal tactics that have no place on this forum. I firmly believe Regan, if he too had run against Trump he’d be labeled the exact same.

Listen, there’s hardly anything that RDS promised in the State of Florida that was not accomplished. All conservative positions, and legislation he pushed through and anything he promised was delivered. If we apply the same Litmus test to Trump (promise the moon as all politicians do) and not deliver what’s expected then we come to the exact same result to the applied litmus test. BOTH ARE exceptional leaders and BOTH govern very conservative. Why in the hell then are we bashing, lying, gaslighting and labeling RDS when he is the furthest from “establishment” as they come. No positions in the governing of his State can ever point to “establishment.” Therefore we must conclude one of two things. 1) we are gaslighting him because he is running against a preferred candidate because we are emotionally attached or 2) the individuals backing him (this is another failed litmus test). If we are applying #2 I can run off a whole host of shady and questionable swamp appointments and Associations Trump has and continues to have. BUT I DONT…why? Because BOTH are exceptional leaders and we win with either.
No-one from the UniParty establishment supported Trump in 2016.

Again, I can apply the exact same litmus test to our President Trump…his appointments were some of the biggest swamp creatures career establishment RINOS around. His lifetime Associations prior to running were your run of the mill, hate America lefties. Again, litmus tests have a strange way of brining hypocrisy to the surface.
There’s nothing at all wrong with converting city buses to electric. The amount of money saved in the long run in fuel expenses is more than worth it. Cmon! You seriously have to do much better than that. That’s laughable
