LONDON -- Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has announced that Wagner Mercenary Group is to continue its operations in Africa and its troops are set to remain in place following the aborted armed mutiny by Wagner mercenary fighters in Russia on Saturday.
Speaking in an interview with Russia Today, Lavrov said that the rebellion led by Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin would not alter the group’s presence in Africa, saying "the work will continue."

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for June 25, 2023: - Ukraine’s offensive enters its 4th week with the line of contact relatively unchanged and having suffered immense losses;
- Western governments and commentators have been increasingly calling for more “wonder weapons” and even Western military intervention as prospects dim for Ukraine;
- The Wagner mutiny in Rostov, southern Russia was an ill-conceived gamble by Wagner’s figurehead Yevgeny Prigozhin;
- The crisis resolved itself within 24 hours with Prigozhin’s exile to Belarus and Wagner forces being fully integrated into the Russian military;
- Ukraine’s offensive potential persists, however, amid a war of attrition, territorial gains at the cost of men and machines brings Ukraine closer to defeat, not victory;
A Kremlin stooge will replace Yevgeny Prigozhin.
Russia has now formally admitted that Wagner is an arm of the Russian government, and always has been.
That means that the many legal claims against Wagner for its myriad war crimes around the world are now recoverable from Russian government assets.

Wagner's operations in Africa is entirely about the ECONOMICS of control over deposits of Natural Resources, and the proceeds from the reclamation of, and sale of those Resources.
Business is Business.
Wagner's business model is they receive a percentage of the Revenues from those sales.

Prigozhin was a stooge with no military experience. Wagner was named after founder Dmitri Utkin, formerly Lt. Col. and commander of the 700 Separate Special Detachment of the GRU, call sign Wagner. Prigozhin called Utkin his master planner of the March for Justice.
