When I saw the thread headlines, this was my thought exactly.
All the dams in the world can be destroyed and there will not be enough salmon to fight against the Asian fishing fleets that our destroying the world’s fish stocks.

Lets hear it for destroy our energy infrastructure, at the
same time setting up policy that demands a 500-1000 percent
need for more energy.
Hope people have some great walking shoes.

As I recall the agricultural water that is (was) channeled by the dams was a bigger deal than the hydro power. Do I remember all that correctly.

Cutting electricity production , for a fish species pushed to extinction by foreign fishing factory ships off our coast. I've lived in the PNW all my life and believe me, we have been very poor stewards of the salmon fishery.
To: KC Burke
The late, great Jeff Head worked so hard to preserve this vital agricultural resource.

Cutting electricity productionWrong. Electricity produced was too costly to compete with other forms of electric supply. And salmon is nowhere near extinct. Your facts here are garbage. ,

the agricultural water that is (was) channeled by the dams was a bigger deal than the hydro power. Incorrect I believe. The Klamath dams served no irrigation purpose. To the contrary, the dams raided water temperatures, created algae blooms and stagnant water and caused fish kills.
