Every taxpayer who dutifully hands over their hard-earned cash every year to the government should be enraged by IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley’s testimony about how senior leaders at the DOJ, the FBI and the IRS sabotaged the five-year investigation into Hunter Biden and allowed him to walk away with a laughably lenient plea deal and unpaid taxes.
Shapley is a hero, as is the second IRS whistleblower who came forward to the House Ways and Means Committee over the last month to tell the truth about an egregious abuse of power at the highest level of the federal government to protect the president from evidence that implicated him in his son’s overseas business dealings and which line agents worried could have national security implications.
There are two strands to this growing scandal.
First is the original story of political corruption first revealed on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, which The Post broke on Oct. 14, 2020.
Second is the coverup, which, like Watergate, has become the bigger scandal.
Both strands are covered in Shapley’s bombshell testimony unsealed last week, and is backed up with new evidence he provided, including documents and messages retrieved from a search warrant of Hunter Biden’s iCloud, memorialized conversations of internal IRS and DOJ meetings and interview transcripts with associates of Hunter Biden.

On Thursday’s broadcast of “Hannity,” Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz stated that the allegation from a whistleblower that Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, demanded payment from a Chinese businessman,stating his father “was in the room” is “probable cause” of an “impeachable offense” of bribery and merits investigation.
Dershowitz also stated that it’s a good thing Republicans control Congress so they can investigate.
Hunter Biden can’t invoke the 5th Amendment “because his lawyers have said that he’s no longer subject to any criminal prosecution.”
Dershowitz stated that if Pres Biden was there while Hunter Biden demanded money and knew of Hunter’s demand, “that would be an impeachable offense. That would be the crime of bribery.”
He cautioned that we don’t know if that’s the case since Hunter Biden could be lying about whether his father was there.
He added, “But there is probable cause. And this has to be investigated. And thank God for our system of checks and balances that we have a Congress that is not controlled by the party in power and can do the kind of investigation.
Biden can’t plead his 5th Amendment anymore, because his lawyers have said that he’s no longer subject to any criminal prosecution. So, please, go forward with these investigation[s].”
Comments......even if his father was not present, the statement is a shocker.......means Hunter was leveraging his father’s name and govt position for Biden Crime Family self-enrichment.
And Joeslow was perfectly okay with that.
Hunter plead guilty and has received his punishment... Why are people beating this dead horse?
The media will dismiss everything based on his guilty plea. They could come up with photo’s of Hunter sexually assaulting somebody and the media will just dismiss it by saying ‘Hunter plead guilty... It’s over.’

Shapley’s testimony is a litany of obstruction by the DOJ and the top echelons of the FBI throughout the five-year investigation in Delaware.
Shapley, who was the veteran supervisor agent for the IRS criminal division and ran a crack team of the 12 best tax investigators in the country, was refused search warrants of a guest house on the grounds of Joe’s Greenville estate where Hunter had been living.
He said that the Delaware assistant US attorney on the case, Lesley Wolf, told them “there is no way we will get that approved” because of the “optics,” and asked “whether the juice was worth the squeeze.”
Shapley’s team were about to issue a search warrant for Hunter’s storage unit in northern Virginia where they believed crucial evidence was kept when he says Wolf “reached out to Hunter Biden’s defense counsel and told him about the storage unit, once again ruining our chance to get to evidence before being destroyed, manipulated, or concealed.”
As for the boss, David Weiss, he meekly accepted the refusal of Biden-appointed US attorneys in Washington, DC and California’s central district to allow charges to be brought against Hunter in their jurisdictions.

Shapley said when he confronted Weiss at a “redline” meeting last October, Weiss explained that he had asked the DOJ for special counsel status so he could override the refusals by his DC and California counterparts — but had been refused.
Shapley has six witnesses in that memorialized October meeting to back him up.

Gee, do you remember the FBi and DoJ saying they couldn’t let Flynn tell public lies, and they had to intervene?
And they indicted Santos in 40 days or so, saying he lied when running for office.

The reason agencies and programs seem immortal is because once established they develop a constituency who profit by them being there. That constituency has tentacles in other things so if a given politician wants something over in A he has to vote for something over in B that is seemingly against his “core beliefs.” Politicians generally come cheap compared to what their vote is worth to any given constituency. All that constituency needs is fifty-one percent and most of those are already on board for their own reasons. So the actual bribes only go to one or two people who represent the one percent needed for a successful vote.
The good news is Hunter showed taxes are optional.

The level of corruption throughout all levels of government is simply unbelievable. It started with the Clintons and has continued. They charge a former president with crimes while the real criminal is sitting in the white house.

This happened around the time Bobulinski was trying to set up Sinohawk Holdings with 10% for the big guy. It never got funded and Bobulinski didn’t know why until the laptop from hell exposed the reason. I think it is likely the text message was to pressure and speed up the diversion of funds..
