Nearly 70% of California residents say they are happy in the state, but over 40% also say that they are thinking about leaving it, according to a new poll.

The California Community Poll, by Strategies 360, was conducted by the Los Angeles Times and a consortium of community groups between June 6 to 16 among 1354 residents of the Golden State. It found, among other results: “Robust majorities of residents across regional, demographic, and racial lines feel happy about living in California (71%), report that living in California is important to their personal identities (68%), and say California is a place where they fit in and feel comfortable (68%).”

70% happy is total BS. No one I talk to is happy and looking to leave ASAP.

We left California in 2010 and I was happy to leave.

They need to stay there and not contaminate the rest of the country. Don’t need anymore “We used to do it a different way ‘back home’ where we came from!” attitudes. 😁👍

I guess happy with the sunshine and scenery, but unhappy with high costs?

Two-thirds say “California is a place where they fit in and feel comfortable.”

So one-third do not fit in and are uncomfortable.

If you ask governor jelly head he will tell you feces and used hypodermic needle strewn streets are a desirable feature of living there.....they don’t call it the land of fruits and nuts for nothing.

Thanks for doing the simple math:

“Two-thirds say “California is a place where they fit in and feel comfortable.”

“So one-third do not fit in and are uncomfortable.”

As late as 2021, I found my California neighbors to almost uniformly be miserable -- and they just could not figure out why.

What an illogical poll.
Its like saying : “I love cake, but I hate the taste of it.”

Speaking for myself, I am very blessed to live in the beautiful climate, near family, beaches, mountains, deserts, so much to do here. Sometimes we think about moving because of leftist policy, crime, cost of living, out-of-state family, etc.

There’s a simple explanation. If you’re gainfully employed, you dare not express any kind of dissatisfaction. It can be seen as evidence that you’re not a team player, and worse it might indicate that you’re seriously thinking of relocating. The best strategy is to keep smiling until you’re ready to make your move.

Moving out of Cali is on a lot of minds.

Some need to get to retirement first.

Others have rels and friends and businesses, things that take a while.

Even the obedient, lock-step Dems are but a needle stick or a carjack away from fleeing to Texas or Florida.
