It has occurred to me that Putin may have decided/been pursuaded it would be a really good idea to end this war, and is using Prig. to make it happen. He might have offered Prig a major office in the Russian military, or he might end the war and send Prig off to Sudan to make money for himself and Russia.
After Putin’s speech, Prigozhen can either win or die. No chance this is a deal unless Prigozhen agreed to kill himself because he has depression or something.
What kind of military genius says to a guy with an air force, I am driving a convoy up the motorway from Voronezh to Moscow, don’t try to stop me?
Either he has an understanding with Putin, or he is risking having this convoy annihilated by the Russian air force.
Then again, if the Russian air force mutinies and refuses to follow Putin’s command, then Putin is basically toast.

On French TV they are talking about a theory that Ukraine’s secret service has managed to turn Prigozhin against Moscow and made a deal with Wagner.
Let’s point this out: Wagner is now in control of Rostov which is the very city all the Russian invasion of Ukraine is being managed from! Wow.
They just said this on French LCI / internet.
