The point at which Latinos would outnumber white residents to make up the biggest share of the Texas population has been on the state’s demographic horizon for years.
It seemed that long-awaited milestone was reached in 2021 when a closely watched data release last year was the first to reflect the culmination of decades of transformative growth.
But confirmation did not come until this week, when the U.S. Census Bureau updated its official population estimates. In new figures released Thursday, the bureau confirmed Latinos have made up the largest share of the state’s population since at least July 2022. The new population figures show Hispanic Texans made up 40.2% of the state’s population last summer, barely edging out non-Hispanic white Texans, who made up 39.8%.

Jeez, we’ve lived in San Antonio for over 40 years and it’s been at 69% Hispanic that entire time. I love this town. We generally get along. If the Democrat stranglehold on municipal and county offices could ever be broken it would be even better.
I grew up in San Antonio. There are only 2 cities in Mexico with more Mexicans that SA - Mexico City and Monterey.

In all fairness, this is not hard to believe; Hispanic women are sexy as all get out, so they easily attract heterosexual men!
As a white man married to one of those hot, sexy Hispanic women, we had FOUR daughters, who now have ten children.
If my math serves me right, that would mean just in my little circle, there are fourteen new Hispanics and ZERO new whites - all in Texas!

The borders have been wide open for 40+ years, and the career professional class lawyer politicians in D.C., making up the majority of the corrupt ruling class, I just can’t imagine how this happened to Texas.
Democrats will never admit that they want to turn Texas blue. They think it's their dirty little secret.
