“The first thing my mom taught me as a young girl living in North Korea was don’t even whisper, because birds and mice could hear me,” Yeonmi Park told the audience that had come to hear her speak in Queens.
“This is what dictators do: they plant a spike everywhere, a distrust between people, a distrust between family, even. The teachers tell their children,” she went on, “‘If your parents say one wrong thing, come to tell the teacher.’”
It was a story that Ms. Park has told often, on television sets and conference stages and in a best-selling memoir, over the decade she has spent as one of the world’s most famous defectors from the Kim family’s isolated totalitarian state.
But in recent years, she has added a new postscript.
“And now,” she told the crowd in Long Island City last weekend, “I see the same thing in America.”

Miss Park is a very smart lady and she isn’t too bad on the eyes either.
Read her first book. Recommend it. Left doesn’t like her because she has pulled the curtains back exposing where their utopianism leads.
Individuals like her who have lived under these regimes should be our “canary in the coal mine”.
Serious warnings about the direction we are headed.
Unfortunately, I believe the “Left” sees regimes like North Korea as their political and sociological role model.
She was on Joe Rogan’s podcast it’s worth searching for it, imagine watching your mom being raped in front of you, imagine watching rats eat the eyes out of dead people who died from starvation, image being sold as a sex slave, these are things this woman has been exposed to

On Jordan Peterson’s podcast, she had some choice comments for Columbia University, calling nearly all of her education there “brainwashing” and saying there was nothing good about it.

Its a paywall so I can’t read it but I’m beginning to think that all these Pubbies are either paid to split the primary vote or they have been told Trump is for sure going to be taken out. Nothing else makes any sense. I’m voting for Trump.
I first became aware of this young woman about two years ago on You Tube.
She posts videos on a site called Dimple.
They also interview two guys who are Nork defectors who served in the North Korean Army.
