Does “all believed” suggest maybe one of them got his life preserver on and swam to the surface? (I’m kidding — what a dopey headline). I’m surprised they didn’t squeeze an “allegedly” in there.

What I find interesting is that now suddenly, “died suddenly” is widely viewed as a good thing, even as the one saving grace.

If not all dead, they’re just taking an afternoon stroll on the ocean floor. Yep, that was a stupid headline.
In this instance it is a mercy to die instantaneously as opposed to suffering for hours, days in the cold and dark suffocating.................
“Believed”? Yeah, they’ve still got a mile swim to the surface and they just might still make it. Sheesh…!!!

No one mentioned water supplies. Did they have potable water onboard? Could they have had survival equipment to reprocess urine to conserve water? (unless they had eaten asparagus recently that is.)
Other than exiting through the space created when the hull disintegrated, the only way out was to have someone remove the 17 bolts of the bow access point. Nobody was rescued, but this writer is holding out hope that one of the occupants is still holding their breath.
Said since they had sound devises(not familiar with proper terminology) did not hear any implosion. Middle of North Atlantic with no sounding devices? Guess they have to cover for national security secrets.
