This little time period will have huge ripples. The loss of trust, the social dislocation, the economic and social changes in the workplace. This is a major historic event.
Lockdowns? Despite the fact that sisolack was our gov at the time, IIRC we had about 6 weeks of it near us. By July we were back to doing weekly jam sessions. 🔬🤔😵🚫😷💉🐎💩
Covid stories would be the very last thing I would ever want to hear. Except maybe Hillary’s voice.
OTOH,many people lost jobs and businesses,many people started abusing drugs and alcohol because of worry,fear,loneliness,many,many kids were seriously damaged educationally and psychologically and the national debt basically doubled.
But it was all worth it...after all: Orange Man Bad.
Lost one friend due to me not getting vaccinated. He insisted I do so for the safety of him and his family. I said we can be friends regardless. Nope - wasn’t interested. Boxed up a couple of hand tools he lent me and mailed them back about four months after that, with a note thanking him for the use. I heard I was not the only one he terminated friendships with. Knew him for twenty years. This spring, a mutual friend approached him to see if they could bury the hatchet. Nope - wasn’t interested. Sadly have written off any future interactions with him.

As someone who refused the vaccine myself, I can say that strangers didn’t treat me different, since they didn’t know whether I was vaccinated or not. Some of my co-workers probably would have wanted to treat me different, but they really couldn’t since they had to work with me whether they liked it or not.
So that left family and friends as the people who actually did treat me differently. I really wouldn’t have cared much if strangers or co-workers treated me like a pariah, but friends and family hits hard. I’ll never forget it.
Why the redactions?
Do they really expect us to believe there is some “national security” excuse for that, and not just a “CYA” reason for what they are hiding?
For those of us who have loved ones that died agonizing deaths all alone because of CoVid hospital protocols will never forget. The pain is still raw. Trying to figure out how to forgive a “system”.
So many were sacrificed on the made up altar of “trusting the science.”
