Strong Tornado just hit Matador Texas
chasers pulling people form homes
fatalities confirmed
These storm chasers do an amazing job in collecting data and warning others of the immediate danger. They are also the first on the scene and can immediately call rescue services. When the storm chasers were killed a couple years ago, I believe they had misjudged a storm’s path and took a direct hit.
The radar shows the storm came from the NW instead of the SE as most do. Prayers for them. I was reared about 100 miles East of there near Wichita Falls.

Drove through the panhandle on I-40 decades ago...now I know why I chose planned lodging within range of a NOAA broadcast station. My weatheralert monitor traveled with me.

Continuimg prayers for folks in Matador, Texas.
Presser from Lubbock Fire Rescue at 7 AM CST.
That poor town was simply blown away. In earlier reports they were searching for an RV that had been parked outside a home that was destroyed. It had simply disappeared. I don’t know if they ever found it.
Thank for the update. The report said all that were missing had been accounted for so I guess the two people in the RV were found alive or were two of the fatalities.
You’re welcome.

Wonder how much money goes to tornado research...
Bet it’s a pittance compared to all the money thrown away on the climate change con.
Damn, I meant to state that most of the time come from the SW. I wish there was a correct somewhere or an edit.
