Ken has also been accused of cheating on his wife.
So. Will the missus vote to confirm the impeachment?
It seems Ken old boy is screwed.

Can some Texas FReeper explain this whole Paxton impeachment issue? Is Paxton a good guy getting railroaded, or a RINO being taken down?

He cleaned a Bush’s clock in the 2022 election and his lawsuits against the FJB Brandon regime have all be successful.

Many in Texas don’t like KP. I can look past all his “issues” because he has stood up for Texas when it counted.

Ken is the furthest thing from a RINO. He has filed many lawsuits for conservative causes and beat the Bush machine this last election. He really lit a fire recently when he accused the Texas RINO Democrat-lite Speaker of the House of being drunk leading a session and it was on! I have been thankful to have him lead the charge, bringing in other conservative Attorney Generals. I will be a big loss for moving the conservative agenda to lose him.

So since he was impeached by the Texas House, the House must be full of Bushies.
Does the Texas Senate have enough Bushies in it to convict and remove Paxton?

“Is Paxton a good guy getting railroaded, or a RINO being taken down?”
There’s a third possibility: He’s a good guy (strong on conservative causes) but also an imperfect human being (aren’t we all) who yielded to the temptation to make false statements about financial matters, along with other things he’s accused of.
We can believe that he did good things in his official role and also believe that he cut some corners in his private dealings.

Actually, No. 19 Repubs. 12 Rats. 2/3 of 31 is 20.77, so I am assuming that they need 21 votes to convict and remove.
One would have to assume that the 12 DemocRATs would vote to convict and remove, so that leaves what, just 9 Bush Republicans out of the 19 needed?
