"..producing these precursors in China and then, in some cases, inadvertently sending it to the wrong people in Mexico or other places.."

Over and over and over and over. Did the Mexican receivers pay for the shipments by accident, too?
Blinken is paying obeisance to the Emperor. Vassal leaders traditionally travel to Peking to pay homage to the Emperor upon accession to their own thrones and send gifts by way of important ministers tp kowtow and express allegiance periodically throughout their times in power.
🤔
No, evil and lying all in one package. It’s immpossible to be that stupid and naive and still respirate.
Mike Pompeo had this guy right from the start. Said Blinken doesn’t have what it takes to be a secretary, he is basically a career staffer. Assistant whatever, iow.
The cabal doesn't even bother to try being believable anymore. We are just sheep, reported to by sheep who have cut deals with wolves.
It is ludicrous to state that China exported chemical precursors of Fentymyl and Methamphetamine to Mexican cartels by accident. That is a blatant lie.
To believe that you would have to also believe that the large laboratories built and used for the final production of these drugs were also built by accident or fortuitous chance.
Blinken basically rolled over and peed himself just like a submissive cur.
If it wasn’t such a traitorous comment, it would be hilarious.
PLA directed the importation of refined Carfentanil through Long Beach and managed to get quite a bit into the US through air service as well. It killed nearly every junkie it touched.
This was the first apex of the reverse 21st-Century Opium War of China against the United States.
These godless confucians are out for revenge, goddamn when are you people going to wake up out of your slumber?
The last paragraph of the article explains a lot:
“ Blinked responded, ‘So, all I can tell you is this: We’ve seen cooperation from them in the past and that’s made a difference. That halted, more or less, over the last few years. They have issues that they’ve raised to try to explain why they’re not doing as much as they can.’ ”
The reporter appears to have missed the two key follow-up questions:
1. Why did the Chinese stop cooperating?
2. What “issues” are preventing improvements in cooperation now?
A couple of years ago, I had to start giving my PII (personally identifiable information) and signature whenever I bought over-the-counter allergy medication because it contained pseudoephedrine. The makers of crack were using the tablets to obtain the precursor chemicals needed to make the drug. So they were buying it in huge quantities on the open market.
As is usually the case, the regulators then decided everybody now needed to supply their information regardless of the quantity purchased. Then they stopped asking for PII and signatures a year or so later. Why? Because the drug dealers’ chemists had figured out how to make crack using basic chemicals and buying massive quantities of allergy medicine containing pseudoephedrine was no longer necessary.
Isn’t Blinken’s description of the Chinese behavior similar? The cooperation was a matter of shifting from permitting drug manufacturers in China supplying fentanyl tablets/capsules directly to permitting chemical manufacturers in China to supply the precursors. Let’s not give them too much credit. The Chinese cooperated in the past, because it got them off of the skyline as a supplier of the finished product, fentanyl. That was good PR. Still, they are Chinese …
Now an extra step has been added to manufacturing the illegal drug. The Chinese are making the chemists in Mexico use the precursors to make the drug. Then the cartels are sending the product into the US for packaging. There are still huge, huge amounts of fentanyl being smuggled into the United States.
The cooperation we are seeking from the Chinese is for them to stop enabling the drug cartels to poison Americans. This shouldn’t require complex negotiations or resolving “issues“ as it is a moral evil to enable drug smugglers in any way. The PRC has severe punishments for illegal drug trafficking inside China. But they seem to have “issues” when it comes to other countries, especially the United States.
SoS Blinken somehow cannot talk about these issues. Why? Mentioning them is bad PR for the criminal political party running the PRC. Sort of like why Resident Brandon …er, POTUS46 is downplaying the recent PRC spy balloon incident.
Just a case of corrupt, characterless Americans making nice with corrupt, characterless Chinese.
Perhaps some good use can be made of the fentanyl.
At the absolutely huge quantities being routinely interdicted (with even more getting in undetected), the fentynal “good use” train has long since left the station.
Their intentions (both the Chinese and the cartels) are entirely evil. The only difference between the two is that the Chinese intention is malignant while the other is mainly indifferent.
No business in Red China does anything with dangerous drugs/components without Party permission. Period!
