Reparations for slavery in the U.S. have been discussed contentiously, not only in the lead-up to this Monday’s Juneteenth holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the country. A survey carried out by Pew Research Center in 2021 shows that two thirds in the U.S. reject the idea of slavery reparations.
The picture is different among Black Americans, of whom three quarters support reparations. Support is also higher among Hispanics – where almost 40 percent are in favor – and Asians – one third is for reparations – than among white Americans. Only 18 percent in the group supported them, the survey showed.

That’s me. I was named after my great, great grandfather (my real first and middle name) who was a Michigan volunteer in the Union Army in several of the bloodiest battles. He survived and is buried under a GAR honored headstone in Port Austin, Michigan.
Somebody must owe me reparations I figure.
Pay reparations in Coferderate States Dollars.
The first things the freedmen did when they got to Liberia is enslave the natives. They have been in a near constant state of tribal civil war since. Do the natives get reparations?
This reparations racket and the whole LGBTQWTF are what will have the democrats losing (I hope). They will have alienated so many blacks with failed reparations and every moderate who doesn’t want to pay blacks who were never soaves, while at the same time angering the blacks that see the LGTWTF people elevated to a higher rung on the victimhood ladder. Hence why they are importing tens of millions of illegals to breed out the American citizen.
Makes perfect sense.
Even though your great great grandfather lived, the financial toll and the anguish of war has rippled down through time.
If any one gets reparations it should be you
look at what has become of the cities?..the state fairs?..music venues?....
Repatriate, don’t reparate. Send the bass turds back where they want to be. We don’t owe them Jack Sh**.
“But in popular usage this date is said to be the date slavery ended. That is not historically accurate but this is how people are talking about it.”
The Emancipation, somewhat ironically only freed slaves who were not under Union control on January 1, 1863. This not only included the slave border states and DC but also Tennessee and parts of Virginia and Louisiana. Only as the Union army advanced though the South were the slaves freed.
It doesn’thelp when you pump into your head music and people spewing hate and violence. What you take in is gonna be what comes out.
I mean I got along so much better with blacks in the 1970s and 80s before the violent rap started to be listened to them constantly and all it did was make angry people who then churned out violence.
More divide and conquer propaganda “polls”.
Getting a majority is long off, if ever. Getting 15-20%? Very doable. And totally destructive for the Democrats.
Wait until they see the logical conclusion of the “slavery reparations” will be government money, given to a committee of politicians, to improve the lives of those affected by slavery and NOT a check-is-in-the-mail direct payout. And you KNOW that’s what the endgame of this is.
Surprise! Lazy, dark skinned people support theft by government. Makes sense because they rob people more than people of other skin colors.
