Russians have been achieving some astonishing single-day bags of hohos at very little cost to themselves.

People from both sides tell me to just wait, the next counter counteroffensive will result in the definitive victory. It is a stalemated quagmire for both sides. The battles being described in this article are straight out of 1916 or 1952. After this one fails, the Russian counter will be described similarly.

After Ukraine’s first probing attacks yielded mixed results

Besides "probing attacks," "reconnaissance missions" and "shaping operations" are the approved terms for these maneuvers. Do not say "offensive" or "counteroffensive" unless there is a breakthrough in the Russian defense. Zeepers, e-mail me privately for more guidance on your talking points.

You are totally a dupe of the Russian warmongers. You could always see that the Russians would use their air force when push came to shove.

headline: "Ukraine Runs Into Russian Air Superiority"

Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark!

The counteroffensive is a massive flop, to the surprise of no one who does not get their news from MSM propaganda and Biden’s idiots.

The defense has had the advantage for a long time.

It showed in Russian losses when they were on the offense.

It is now showing as Ukraine goes on offense.

“Now into its second week”

Actually now COMPLETING the second week...WSJ cannot even get that right. The Ukes did get a settlement that had been occupied by Russia...but then their boys found Russian flamethrowers on 3 sides there, so a bad day for them.

The wordy salvos fired from the Wall Street Journal are prepping the front line for -- leaving.

Think getting ready for the last helicopter out of Saigon, or the last transport plane out of Kabul.

Of the two long term scenarios -- kill Russia, or let Ukraine be diminished -- some in the mainstream media seem to be messaging the latter, while the Nuland types are urging the former.

This is also an indication that the current administration is divided against itself, in the same way. The battles may not be bloody, but they sure as heck will be "bloody." And unlike the PR from the thugs in the Ukraine and the thugs in Russia, the thugs in our government will do their war behind closed doors, so that we mere citizens will not see. So does it seem.

It is time for conservatives to understand that we too can wage war the way the DNC does, e.g., one person at time go to Target and destroy a $100 worth of merchandise, or Starbucks and open up the coffee bags, throw away the lids on tumblers, etc.

These people were never netural when it came to hating Christians or non-gays. These sick politically active corporations need to be driven from our communities. They enable pedifilies and homosexuality - they need to run out of business.

Dozens of FR ex military and hobbyists saw this issue with air cover as crippling the Ukrainian offensive.

And we saw it months ago.

How could the geniuses in DC and Kiev and Brussels not see this and stop the suicide mission?

And those Ukrainians are really great strategists aint they?

“Lets start an offensive without air cover to prep the battle ground.”

BTW..I was told that the Russians are using NNEMPs to eliminate the Ukrainian drones/electronic systems.
Still trying to find that out.

From the WSJ article:

"Meanwhile, Russia has continued drone and missile strikes against Ukrainian cities as it seeks to deplete their stocks of expensive air-defense munitions and keep such systems deployed away from the eastern front line. "

Nothing says "our military is very strong" like launching terror attacks on civilians to keep the other side's air defenses busy. That sounds like a tactic of desperation to me.

Attacking civilians to affect military operations elsewhere is the kind of thing Al Qaeda, ISIS, or the PLO did, and they were denounced as terrorists.

It is sad to see people here on Free Republic cheering on terrorists today.

Russian air superiority is so great that yesterday they lost three (3) $31million dollar KA-52s.
