“We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst.” —C.S. Lewis
When Donald J. Trump established himself in the president's office in January 2017, one of the first things he did was hang a portrait of President Andrew Jackson in the Oval Office. That was a signal.
Andrew Jackson was an irascible war hero known for his blunt manner, explosive temper, and inclined to physical violence. He was elected President in 1828, his second attempt, as a reformer who promised to clean out the “deep state” corruption of his day.
By that time, our country’s founders had passed on, and power had been inherited by a motley group of inheritors and cronies (Hunter? Is that you?) who established a cozy kleptocracy to ensure their continued access to the public trough. Unsurprisingly, ordinary citizens were very unhappy to the point where southern states, led by Sen. John Calhoun (S.C.), Jackson’s future vice president, threatened to secede via federal “nullification,” while northeastern elites, represented by Daniel Webster, worked assiduously to enhance federal control over the United States and its riff-raff citizenry.
Despite much howling, unceasing personal attacks, and violent opposition from the deep state of his time, Andrew Jackson persevered, fixed it…and was re-elected in 1832. Andrew Jackson, in other words, was a disruptor.

Trump is a disruptor, and deserves a lot of credit for the first 3 years of his administration. But now someone else is needed to finish the job Trump started.
Any government system in which the elected don’t fear the electorate is broken and a recipe for totalitarianism. If I had my way all those in elected office, and in government jobs (IRS etc) would have to recite a pledge to serve the populace without prejudice, without malice, and as a subservient public employee - employed at the will of the populace. Every one of them. Every morning. Any actions not in accord with this pledge should result in immediate loss of employment and of pension.

Yes. trump!
In any case, it will take a GOP super majority in congress or a replacement of the old with new MAGA. Hell, now that MTG has her committee slots, a makeover and loves Kev, she might be in the club.
Wow!
You know everything!
I am so impressed!
We are so lucky we have you to tell us what to do!
Question: When did you earn your first billion?
Another Question: When did you win your first Presidential election?
Third question: How many fraudulent impeachments have you been subjected to?
It’ll be necessary to combat the evil in a decentralized manner.
Should Trump win 2024, the battles will continue well past 2028, and unlikely we’ll see another “President for the Citizens & Peace” in the decades ahead.
>> But now someone else is needed to finish the job Trump started.
Why must it be someone else?
Apart from his overly abrasive personality that alienates a lot of voters, Trump has now been found liable in court for assaulting and slandering a woman, and very unfortunately, due to his imprudent statements that followed the jury verdict, there will be a rerun in the same court next January. I don’t think the women of America, who are a majority of the voters, will elect Trump as President again. The fraudulent indictments by Bragg & Smith have been a big boost to Trump’s campaign, but I don’t think they will be enough to put him in the White House again.
We need Trumpism without the baggage, and whether Trump’s successor is Desantis or someone else, we do need someone other than Trump to try to win in 2024.
So if you think that wealth is the ultimate test of wisdom, do you propose to turn the government over to George Soros & Bill Gates? LOL
No matter how low I can set the bar for reasoned argument, a member of the only-trump-cult will always go below it.
You have the same fish-like brain structure that tells you anybody who doesn’t want a Russia/Ukraine nuclear war is a Putler.
====================================
I only agree with the bold portion of your deep state approved opinion.
President Trump is needed to finish the job!
His disruption is for all the wrong reasons. Under him, the decay doesn’t go away.
Thank you for your concern troll.
But Ronald Herbert Walker DeSantis will make the decay go away because he’s a magic man?
I am not a DeSantis person.
Prove he is a Bushie. Bush was a leftist himself.
Otherwise, you are slandering gim.
