Two people were shot in Denver after the Nuggets’ NBA championship parade on Thursday, according to police
The Denver Police Department confirmed around 1:15 p.m. local time that it was investigating a shooting near 17th Street and Curtis Street, which is right along the Nuggets’ parade route in the city’s Central Business District.
The shooting happened around the conclusion of the Denver Nuggets rally after the parade, according to KDVR.
The conditions of both victims were not known at this time, cops said. Additional details were not immediately available.
Separately, a Denver cop suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a firetruck near the end of the parade route at W. 13th Avenue and Cherokee Street, according to police
