“We’re in Syria because Assad/Putin allow ISIS and Iran to operate in eastern and southern Syria in support of attacks into Iraq and Jordan.”

We created and equipped Isis to overthrow Syria in a wahabbist jihad. They got out of hand and embarrassed us. Assad was our target there and likely would have fallen but for Putin. We are mad because he saved Syria from our Christian beheading insanity. But we weren’t there To save the world from Isis, we were there to break off a chunk with oil and call it ours. Syria is Americas shame. We literally got top cover for Syrian rebels/isis/Al nausea etc.

“...unsafe, unprofessional behavior’...”

I guess that’s a politically correct version of “aggressive”.

The Drive reports they are at the big US hub airbase in Jordan.

I agree; Israel would make the most sense, but Biden doesn’t do anything sensible.

I thought Saudi at first too, but I think Biden has sullied our relations with them at present. We have air bases in Turkey and Kuwait. I think Turkey would make the most sense geographically, but none of this stuff makes a whole lot of sense anyway.

Thank you! I figured that would make good geographic sense too.

The Russians do not have anything to compare to the F-22!! And for your information Lockheed Martin was not the low bidder!!!

Seriously doubt that the F-22 would be based anywhere near Syria. We have a number of nice bases in the region

Well, it’ll look better than just letting a hurricane surge destroy a double digit number of them in a maintenance hanger...

Nope, already did that one.

What’s the follow on to the 22? When (not if) war is on it’s too late.

I guess we could always bring these back online.

Primitive by today's standards, but they're fast and loud, so that helps.

The question to be answered at your trial......Is aiding and abetting Russian crimes against humanity a war crime?

Is your neo isolationist politicaldemagoguery aiding and abetting the Russian War Criminals?

“We created and equipped Isis to overthrow Syria in a wahabbist jihad.”

Absolute, complete bullshit.

ISIS created from AIQ 2009 following US pullout from Iraq. They were hiding in Syria 2003 - 2009 and combined their operations following US combat troop withdrawl from Iraq in 2009. Declaring themselves ISIS Islamic State of Iraq and Syria reflecting their cross border operations.

US supported, trained and equipped FSA. And yes, many of whom defected to ISIS (ne AIQ) prior to arrival of significant SOCOM forces and US air support from Al Asad, AB Iraq.

It wasn’t until US SOCOM deployed into Syria in 2011 that ISIS was opposed and FSA had in-country support.

ISIS was attritted/killed over the succeeding 12 years and remains cutoff from funding via Syrian oil fields in eastern and southern Syria -which neither SDF, Russia or Iranians could support due to ISIS and Kurdish interdictions.

Syria, Russia and Iran are all untrustworthy frauds within Syria. No one trusts them because they only support themselves as they play games with everyone else.
