As we previously reported, Garth Brooks is set to open a new bar, and as expected, he couldn't resist making a politically charged comment, true to his style.
In a recent statement, Brooks criticized conservatives who have boycotted Bud Light, referring to them as "a**holes" for not backing the beer brand.
However, it seems that Garth is now facing some backlash, as he has significantly toned down his rhetoric. But he then backtracks big time by again doubling down on the importantness of "inclusiveness" at his bar.
On Friday, Brooks took the position that his bar, Friends in Low Places, will serve “every brand of beer,” including Bud Light. In preparation for conservative backlash for supporting Bud Light, Brooks preemptively snapped at the response, saying, “Our thing is this, if you [are let] into this house, love one another. If you’re an a**hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway.”
Brooks doubled down on his bar’s inclusiveness standard, adding, “But inclusiveness is always going to be me. I think diversity is the answer to the problems that are here and the answer to the problems that are coming. So I love diversity. All inclusive, so all are welcome,” according to NBC News on Tuesday, June 13. The Bud Light boycott started with the company’s decision to sponsor transgender TikTok activist Dylan Mulvaney.
In an attempt to back off his harsh language toward the Bud Light boycotters, Brooks said, “I understand that might not be other people’s opinions, but that’s OK, man … if you’re one of those people that just can’t do that, I get it. If you ever are one of those people that want to try, come.” His tone departs from the “A**hole” moniker Brooks used to describe his detractors on Friday, June 9.
Nice try Brooks, but no dice.
Conservatives will most likely be avoiding your bar like the plague.

To hell with this mutant.
I thought LGBT is also boycotting Bud Light, because they feel they wiped out.
Don’t care about his fadish thoughts after he endorsed Obama.
Bud Light is a credibility black hole. Hope it sucks in more idiots.
It’s not likely that Brooks will be able to open that bar in Nashville. Even with a majority Democrat population in that city, they’re not interested in anyone that could damage the reputation of Nashville’s very popular entertainment districts.
I’d’ve gone with, “That wasn’t me! That was Chris Gaines!”
“But inclusiveness is always going to be me. I think diversity is the answer to the problems that are here and the answer to the problems that are coming.”
Rhinestone Cowboy.
He Dixie Chicked himself.
Garth has no idea what side his bread is buttered on.
Oh look! A new gay bar in Nashville!
Who proves, in the flesh, you don’t have to be intelligent, logical or rational to get rich or “sing”.
Bye.
Sounds like he wants a gay bar, and afraid to say it.
Be a shame if it gets the reputation as Garth Brooks' gay bar.
If it does, he could rebrand it as "Friends In Down Low Places".
Just call it “Steers and Queers”
It will be the biggest and most popular homo bar in Nashville.
And wildly successful.
Brokeback is more like it ...
importantness?
I was shocked when I heard what he said.
Being independently wealthy however (Net Worth 2023 = $420 Million) cures a myriad of issues......if his bar goes belly up over this it’s really no skin off his nose.
‘Inclusiveness’. Buzzword Brooks.
will they have mechanical bull milking contests?
