DeSantis’ former state political committee transfers $82.5 million to allied super PAC

The Florida political committee once controlled by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis transferred $82.5 million last month to a super PAC supporting his presidential campaign, according to information posted to the committee’s website.

The shift of the funds has been anticipated ever since DeSantis entered the race with tens of millions of dollars left over from his 2022 reelection bid. However, the move nevertheless makes official an unprecedented effort by DeSantis allies to test the limits of campaign finance laws to benefit a presidential contender.

The Campaign Legal Center, a watchdog group, has already filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commision, flagging the expected transfer as potentially illegal. The organization alleges that DeSantis had unlawfully directed the money into a super PAC, Never Back Down, which is supposed to operate independently of candidates.

Waiting for the creepy Trump cultists to accuse DeSantis of something illegal with no evidence.....but they are too stupid to see this is what the left does to Trump.

Creepy Trump cultists take their playbook from the communists and attack from the left.

He’s quite the shifty character. Only the desperate never Trumpers support this lackey of the deep state.

Yes, mostly coming from the creepy Trump cultists (not to be confused with Trump supporters)

Trump cultists lie, fabricate and attack DeSantis from the left, the same way liberals attack DeSantis.

They are not conservatives. They are a cult of personality and hate anyone that questions their Lord, Donald J Trump

The Trump vs. Bush battles, on the other hand, were far from epic. In fact, I don’t think FR had a single Yeb! supporter here. :-P

An explaination why what deesantis did is illegal and against FEC regulations and mccain-feingold

desantis raised the money from campaign donations, under the rules that govern state level offices.

Under FEC regulations and mccain-feingold, this money can not be used in a federal election, because the restrictions on campaign fund raising are much stricter than for state level offices.

The transfer of funds is illegal by mccain-feingold, because it involves what is called soft money, and can not legally be used in a federal level campaign, also because of the FEC regulations fund raising regulations,

And I discussed this in the thread here

Why desantis has waited to declare he's running for president, and how he's committing campaign fraud.

The reason desantis thinks he can get away with it, is that he hopes the current FEC commission, which is 3 republican and 3 democrats, won't see the case until after the election, and have deadlocked on decisions along party lines in the past.

Also, if da santis gets away with it, expect soros and zuckerberg money to start doing the same thing....

Imagine 100’s of millions of dollars from them, going into the campaigns for leftist congressmen and senators, vs the few 100’s of thousands to maybe million raised by republicans for offices.

I sometimes wonder why such a repulsive worm as you is allowed on this site.

Jim Robinson likes Trump. This is his site. You are a guest on this site. He is a much nicer person than I am. I would have zapped yor ass long ago.

To the creepy Dump on Trump Chump:

Here is Trump's record. Show me DeSantis’.

Let's go down the memory hole:

The Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, Impeachment 1, Impeachment 2 and Special Prosecutor Investigation…..

Was Trump wrong March 2017, when he accused the Obama/Biden Administration of spying him?

Name a recent POTUS who was as successful as Trump? Look at what Trump accomplished for the majority of Americans:

Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
US companies were bringing home well paying jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated.
Got three non-left “I don't know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned.

Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama's Weaponized Agencies?

Due to simple minded voters, elections are allowed to be stolen (i.e. 2020 Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pa.), wildly corrupt Democrats and RINOs legislate without accountability and Freepers like you dump on Trump.

You are in my favorite category of The Dump Trump Chumps.
