When Apple showed the face scanned digital twin for FaceTime using the Apple Vision Pro it immediately reminded me of this. The stuff they showed in the demo as far as creating a lifelike avatar has already been well-surpassed by Meta in the lab and I’m sure Apple is planning stuff on this level as well. That much closer to the Matrix.

I recognize this. It is marketing, posing as news. After all, if avatars can pose as individuals, then the media can pretend to “report” while busying themselves with marketing. A little like paid “product placement” in film and television. Or politics. News — or fiction — at eleven.
