You got it half right..
Vote them out in the primary.
If they get through, don’t vote for the backstabbing traitors...EVER..
Register your protest vote, vote third party.
And don’t tell me a vote for a third party is a vote for the democommies..

People who say otherwise are the reason we have traitors entrenched in the party.
The fact is that a RINO is still a better choice than a Dem - because you have a small chance that the RINO will vote with Republicans whereas a Dem never will.
Voting third party is pointless at such a juncture. Let’s say that the third party wins. Since most third parties lean left, congrats - you elected someone else who won’t vote with the Republicans. The Republicans will not draw the correct lesson from the protest vote.
A better practice would be to not donate if the idiot incumbent somehow wins the primary - then you tell the Republicans why you’re not donating.
That’s what I do. If I do not like the R candidate (John Cornyn) I vote third party.
