Russia will start deploying tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus after special storage facilities are ready on July 7-8, President Vladimir Putin said on Friday, Moscow’s first move of such bombs outside Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union.
More than 15 months into the biggest land war in Europe since World War Two, Putin says the United States and its Western allies are pumping arms into Ukraine as part of an expanding proxy war aimed at bringing Russia to its knees.
Putin in March announced he wanted to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, an apparent warning to the U.S.-led NATO military alliance over it support for Ukraine.
Leading NATO countries say they will support Ukraine and help it defend itself for as long as it takes from what Kyiv casts as an imperial-style land grab by Russia which threatens the survival of the Ukrainian state.
“Everything is going according to plan,” Putin told Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko when discussing the planned nuclear deployment during talks at the Russian leader’s Black Sea summer retreat in Sochi.
“Preparation of the relevant facilities ends on July 7-8, and we will immediately begin activities related to the deployment of appropriate types of weapons on your territory,” Putin said, according to a Kremlin transcript of his remarks. *** Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine will not rest however until every last Russian soldier is ejected from his country, which he wants to join NATO as soon as possible.
Putin’s nuclear move is being watched closely by both the United States and its NATO allies in Europe and by China, which has repeatedly cautioned against the use of nuclear weapons in the conflict.

Nobody is making nuclear threats here. They’re trying to warn of them. One thing I learned about slavs in Bosnia was that you listen when they talk.
Russia is fighting the entire west. Ukraine is central to the nwo plans, that’s why wef and UN and the EU etc will fight to the last Ukrainian. It’s evil.
There is nothing abnormal for the people of a nation, American or Ukrainian, to defend its own sovereignty and borders with help of allies. It’s common conservative sense. Conservatives like the respect for BORDERS.
Russia is attacking its neighbors again, like it has done so many many times in history. They are imperialistic land-grabbers, it’s in their veins.
So, if the deep-state Kremlin warmongering politicians in Russia don’t want to have the “entire West” (as you say) against them... they simply have to stop violating and killing its neighbors. Once they stop with their bloody invasion the West will not need to help Ukrainians defend themselves any more.
It’s all up to Russia. They need to end their Neo-Soviet mentality they got from the communist Bolsheviks. Blatant military invasions AND annexations ov internationally recognized border and countries, in 2023, is pure psychopathic behavior. Putin got crazy during Covid. He was hiding from everyone in his bunkers, living in complete paranoia. We see what that did to him. It awakened his Neo-Soviet blood and brain-cells.

The West’s weak response to the invasion of the Republic of Georgia amounted to appeasement and led to more aggression from Russia.

I agree.
And I will add that the West’s zero response to the Russian invasion of Crimea when Obama was President, was also a terrible appeasement gesture, that partly made Russia believe it could continue and take all of Ukraine!
However, thanks God... the West finally reacted this time against Russia (in 2022).
