Target Corp.’s stock was downgraded to neutral from buy Friday by Citi, which cited slowing traffic and a tough competitive landscape for the retail giant.
“After significant sales gains in 2020-2022, we believe 2023 is showing that sales have peaked and are likely to fall further, creating a ‘giveback’ situation,” wrote Citi analyst Paul Lejuez in a note released Friday.
The analyst also cited a “noteworthy deceleration” in Target’s store traffic over the past two weeks.

Yeah if only they were a monopoly things would be much easier.
The problem: Target has too many close ties to GLSEN and also their Pride Month display turned off too many people.
I bought myself a new lamp and a fan last week. Went to Walmart to buy them instead of Target even though Target is much, much more closer to my home, right in town.
Yeah, I know Walmart is also on board with the woke agenda, but I have to pick my battles and I’m glad I helped play at least a small part in the downgrading of Target.
The Boycott Target song is at the top of the charts while Target is on it’s way to the bottom. Hopefully it will not survive. Layoffs are coming. If I was a Target employee I would definitely be looking for another job.

They can’t compete with Walmart Super Centers.
No Automotive Center
No Sports Center
No Tools/Paint Center
Lack of fresh produce and bakery goods
Prices
