I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a fire in Texas, since it’s been so dry here. It’s a wonder the whole state isn’t on fire. Well, at least till last week. Then all points north of us had tornadoes and massive rain amounts and flash floods. We got...nada.

Mark Sudduth said that the African dust has been held back by the air currents. Maybe the el Niño is involved. Who knows.

There are several fires around the state now and the number changes from day to day. Same over here. It’s been pretty dry the last couple of weeks, with just some pop-up showers scattered here and there. Grass fires get started and are put out fairly quickly.

With La Niña and El Niño swapping control, all weather patterns are haywire right now. Ryan Hall talked about the effects across the Atlantic a week or so ago. If the dust cloud is held over there this summer, no problem here! LOL Choking on that stuff every summer isn’t fun.

Choking on dust certainly isn’t fun. We do it all the time. Locally “grown” dust, though. LOL!

I guess I’d better go. I got up earlier than I wanted to, because the plumbers were banging around. Tomorrow they re-cement the part of the patio they had to cut through. I hope that is quieter. I want to sleep in, darn it. See ya tomorrow!

Not fun at all. We have our share of locally-grown dust, too, and don’t need Africa’s on top of it. We have a little of local dust now because it’s been so dry. The smoke added to it hasn’t helped at all.

I hope they finish up that job SOON. Good luck getting to sleep in tomorrow.

There were actually quite a few people out there. There was one lady with a son and a dog in the usual spot where we park. There was a also a family fishing out there with a boat.

We'll see how Wichita Ridge goes later today.
