Speaking of Motorcycles, since 1957 Harley made the Sportster...and continued to make the classic Sportster line until this year. What they replaced the Sportster with looks like s**t and ironically, I think they call it the S line.

If I were strictly an investor, I’d buy 2 or 3 of the classic Sportsters for investments, as I would bet in not too many years from now, they’ll be worth a whole lot more because they aint coming back.

Harley’s competitors must be salivating in anticipation of their new market share.

Sounds like anything simulating a practical electric motorcycle would be(like other EVs) somewhat cost prohibitive. They should be made to stand on their own merits & be priced competitively or(like other EVs) die a slow death. Why should the taxpayer support them with tax credits?

Martin keeps the Freeper Motorcycle Hooligans ping list. I have pinged him to ask him to post this article to the denizens of the list.

My bad.

The advantage would be low maintenance a not sitting over a hot engine in summer.

Well, until the batteries spontaneously combust...

This is something I forgot to mention...I’m betting E-bikes, like EVs, will have a very small and limited resale market, because of the immense cost of replacing the batteries. Conventional motorcycles, if they are reasonably maintained, keep most of their value, depending on the mileage of course. This means there will be a glut of E-bikes on the market, to the point where people will basically be giving them away.

You’re right on this...if you have the ability to store them they will be worth their weight in gold when the whole EV thing collapses.

Hooligans don’t ride electric bikes. Heck, some of ‘‘em won’t even give up their 2-strokes.

I’m sure you’ll agree it’s one of the best ways Democrats can buy votes with other people’s money. It’s a tried and true method supported by all Democrats. Many of their issues feed this tendency in this particular case — foremost among them “climate change”.
