House Speaker Kevin McCarthy firmly pledged on Monday that contempt-of-Congress charges will be filed Thursday against FBI Director Christopher Wray if he does not present the entire House Oversight Committee a document a whistleblower purportedly alleges that then-Vice President Biden engaged in “bribe[s]” with a foreign national.

McCarthy, R-Calif., said Wray – who previously served as then-New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s attorney during the George Washington BridgeGate scandal – initially would not acknowledge the existence of the document.

But, Wray later assented to allowing the chairman and ranking member on the panel – Reps. James Comer, R-Ky., and Jamie Raskin, D-Md., – to view the document. McCarthy said that concession is still not in line with the Constitution.

“He will be held in contempt if he doesn’t do what is responsible to do,” McCarthy told “Jesse Watters Primetime.

Charge Wray, arrest him, put him in custody. Enough already.

Somebody explain something to me: I don't understand why McCarthy would hesitate. Either he can hold Wray in contempt of Congress or he can't.

If he can, why hesitate?

If he can't, why make the suggestion.

Somebody enlighten me.

Here is how this is likely to play out. Comer keeps pushing Wray to produce the documents and Wray keeps stone walling as Comer turns up the heat and play to the public via the media. After it becomes obvious to all that Wray is covering up and will not cooperate, the unclassified 1023 doc - a copy of which has already been supplied to Congress via whistle blower protection gets released. A fight starts because the Biden Admin and Wray have classified the 1023 to highest government secret squirrel classification level in the galaxy to keep it from getting out and exposing the Biden family - hence the Comer -Wray meeting in a special compartmentalized security office to review the docs . It is illegal to classify gov docs as secret to cover up illegal acts so the fight shifts to whether the docs were legit secrets or an FBI cover up of serious Biiden corruption. Other evidence uncovered by multi year Republican private investigation of the Hunter Biiden laptop starts come out and the contents of the laptop are finally released to the public

But the House does have a brig in it and they could order the Sargent at Arms to arrest Wray and take him into custody.

Just Subpoena Wray to testify, when he shows up place him under arrest. The only way out of the brig is to hand over the documents.

But they won’t do that.

Blah...Blah...Blah...

What a noisome pest McCarthy is...
Like one of those toy poodles barking and baring its teeth...

Wake me when there is an actual “bite” to report...

Why not send US Marshals yesterday? The deadline has passed, the crime has already occurred.

US Marshals are Executive Branch.

Congress only orders Capitol Police, and Schumer gets an equal say with McCarthy.
