Russia has proven it still knows how to fight a war....go in, break things, take out civilian buildings, hit infrastructure hard and bring the enemy to their knees.
The US avoids hitting civilian area, tries not to damage infrastructure too much and wants to negotiate with the enemy while they still have the fighting spirit. That is why we have not won a war since WWII.
