It’s possible that a Republican could be elected governor in California, but that’s not “taking the state back.”
Not to mention all the ballot harvesting shenanigans that go on unchecked and unopposed in this state. That is vote engineering and probably plays a way bigger of a role in Dimms winning than anyone cares to admit.
First, get rid of the machines. Secondly, clean up the voter roles. Thirdly, ditch mail-in, month long balloting. California is far more conservative than people want to admit.
This is not the voters fault.
The most recent flight from California are mostly Republicans who are fed up. Perhaps sending liberals there would be best, then having Mexico re annex it.
I’ve seen people that do deep dives saying Trump won CA. Like, big. I’ve seen that elsewhere also. Could actually be true.
After the 2018 debacle, Republicans learned to use ballot harvesting to their advantage, reclaiming many congressional seats in 2020 and 2022.
California is 40% hispanic.
Democrats let in a flood of illegal aliens, the kids of those illegal aliens vote Democrat. That’s how California turned Democrat. The only thing that can change that in the foreseeable future is the realization by the descendants of those illegal aliens that the Democrats will ruin them as they’ve ruined everyone else.

I lived though that in the 70’s.
I think the writer is probably delusional. Any slim chance has had the required population leave for Florida and Texas not to mention the 3rd world population coming in. But having received my Homeowners and Auto Ins renewals in the last month and looking at $1400 increases between the two.... After shopping around, I managed to reduce the carnage to $800 more a year. At best MAYBE we can pick off a few more State Assembly seats to block some of the Marxist agenda going on in Sacramento Kalifornia.

The white liberals won’t. It’s not a rational support, it’s a type of hatred.
The Hispanics and Asians might.

“Asians” IMO the toughest nut to crack (maybe sans older generation Vietnamese and Japanese) But the way they are being discriminated against by leftists it shouldn’t be. (School admissions for one)

Also mail-in and early voting except where Trump campaigned against.
My husband and I were lucky enough to be living in CA in those good years. What happened to CA politics happened pretty much under the radar until the loonies came to the surface and took over. It was my husband’s home state and he always said he wouldn’t be driven out but alas! We left in 2006. Too bad!!
