Lori Lightfoot is the first Chicago mayor in 40 years to lose re-election.
She will now assume a teaching role at Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Ironically, Lightfoot will teach a course titled “Health Policy, and Leadership.”
While there are worse choices to educate students about leadership, we can’t think of one off hand.
Nonetheless, Michelle A. Williams, Dean of Faculty at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, considers Lightfoot an impressive addition:
“I’m delighted to welcome Mayor Lightfoot to Harvard Chan School as a Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow. As mayor, she showed strong leadership in advocating for health, equity, and dignity for every resident of Chicago, from her declaration of structural racism as a public health crisis to her innovative initiative to bring mental health services to libraries and shelters. And of course, she led the city through the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Book deals and teaching jobs are laundered bribes paid to the good little Communist elected officials who do as they are instructed.
Trump lost reelection too. What if they asked him to lecture on leadership? Lightfoot was a disaster but she ticks some DEI boxes so of course she’ll be invited to speak.
Harvard is Dumbing Down QUICKLY!!!
😂😂😂🤡 Why would we expect any less. The more havahad grads I see, the more wasted money I see.
Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been appointed as a Richard L. and Ronay A. Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow for the fall term at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
During her tenure as mayor, which ended May 15, Lightfoot led a coordinated, citywide response across government, business, and community organizations to safeguard public health and minimize economic impact from the COVID-19 pandemic. Among other steps, she created a Racial Equity Rapid Response Team and the COVID-19 Recovery Task Force.
Chicago’s first Black woman and first openly gay mayor, Lightfoot also focused on generating inclusive economic growth across the city’s neighborhoods. Her accomplishments included landmark ethics and good governance reforms, worker protection legislation, and key investments in education, public safety, and financial stability. In August of 2021, Lightfoot secured a $15 minimum wage for most workers in Chicago, including domestic workers, years ahead of the state’s planned phase-in of a living wage.
Before taking office as mayor, Lightfoot held several other leadership roles in city government and served as a federal prosecutor.
In the Department of Health Policy and Management, she will teach a course (tentatively titled) “Health Policy and Leadership.”
The Menschel Senior Leadership Fellows Program offers a rare opportunity for those who have recently served in top-level positions in government, multilateral institutions, nonprofit organizations, and journalism to spend time at the School mentoring and teaching students who aspire to similar roles. Lightfoot will hold regular office hours to meet with students, faculty, and staff during her time on campus.
Wow, what a loser course...
Listen to what she says and do the opposite.
I’m software engineering terms, Lightfoot would be known as an antipattern.
“Failure is a resume enhancement in the Democrat Party.” - Rush Limbaugh........................
John Harvard is spinning in his grave.
It was that or cleaning out fish tanks.
I would say the answer to that is “not very”.
Harvard has been destroying itself with hires like this for 40 years or so now. It’s why everyone who can still think knows Harvard and their graduates are a joke these days.
Colleges and universities are all about higher learning. **Spit**
Dumbing down or uglying up?
Now you can pay a fortune to get a worthless degree.
Amazing how failed democrats always get cushy jobs “teaching” at universities. Then they fail at that too, but we never hear about it.
I hope Harvard is aware that Lori needs “office time every day.”
Lightfoot lost reelection because she was an inept leader. She failed on every front in Chicago, from fighting crime to improved education. Yet, Harvard hires her for her “leadership”? This says more about Harvard than it does Lori.
