Former President Donald Trump increased his lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) to 28-points after the Florida governor officially launched his presidential campaign, a Yahoo News/YouGov found.
###
As Yahoo News reported:
Among potential Republican primary voters — registered voters who identify as Republicans or GOP-leaning independents — Trump now leads the full field of seven declared candidates with 53%. That’s up from 48% in early May, before DeSantis threw his hat in the ring. And DeSantis now lags further behind than he did just a few weeks ago; his 25% is down from 28% in early May.
Put another way, DeSantis trailed Trump by 20 points in the previous Yahoo News/YouGov poll. Today, he trails by 28 points.
None of the other declared candidates, such as former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), or Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R), polled above five percent.

Bingo.
The Ron train is starting to look a lot like the Jeb train.
Good point and do yourself a favor and look at the people in DeSantis inner circle.
It is the same people. Same advisors, pollsters, donors, and consultants. They even have the same endorsements.
Lets see what the poll on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 says.
That is the one that matters/counts.

Trump can nominate anyone he wants to....
Federal appointments are subject to senate confirmation, so controlled by mcconnell, part of the deep swamp
But you must know that, so your comment was to smear Trump.
All hell would break loose in this country if that happened.
If Gov DeSantiss has another week like this one, wow. Those numbers might just double for President Trump. I’m not sure at this point I’d even want this politician in a Trump Administration.
Trump and the Seven Dwarfs.
