Jeffries is the speaker for all intents and purposes.
Don't care one bit. They all sux.
The Uniparty is ONE.
It’s a Dem bill and McCarthy helped Jeffries get it throuugh and likely got nothing out of the deal for the GOP. as usual
Does anyone think nasty pelosi would have had the same out come if the role were reversed?
Lots of room to give everyone cover for their local constituencies.
Tough Yes/No votes had by none.
Uniparty on display.
of course they discussed what each could deliver as part of negotiations - Jefferies alluded to McCarthy bringing a certain per cent of the R caucus repeatedly since deal struck w/Biden.
Watching the vote gave it away. A sufficient plurality of the Dems held back from voting until almost all the GOPers had voted, to see how many would have to vote for the rules in order to go forward with the debate. It happened again in the final vote for the bill.
It was like watching a state election, where the city’s votes were held back until the rural areas posted their votes, in order to know how much the ballots needed to be stuffed to get the Dem in power.
The betrayal from the republicans, like MGT, is staggering. I suggested people watch “When God Abandons A Nation” to see what has happen to our country.
Repent and turn towards Christ before it’s too late.
They didn’t have to make a deal. The bill verbiage & concessions spoke loud & clear.
The whole world of Washington DC is insane. They have destroyed this country economically by stealing stealing stealing. The latest big steal being the Ukraine money laundering project.
I’m sure one or two of them will actually read the bill to find out what goodies were in it for them.
This is the message Congress sends to USA citizens:
Do not live within your means
Do not cut back on any expenses or your life style.
Borrow as much as you can.
Do max out all your credit cards and beg for higher limits.
Do not pay back your debt.
This is the message to our children and grandchildren. Of course they will be stuck with the debt and the carrying costs.
I was majorly disappointed to see that my normally conservative Rep Tom Emmer voted for this debt ceiling increase.
When we need stalwarts the most... everyone seems to have a finger in the wind.
