Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Tuesday voiced his strong and unequivocal support for the deal unveiled over the weekend by President Biden and Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to raise the federal debt limit through January of 2025 and cap spending over the next two years.
Schumer urged the House to quickly approve the bill and promised he will try to move it through the Senate as quickly as possible.
“I support the bipartisan agreement that President Biden has produced with Speaker McCarthy. Avoiding a default is an absolute imperative,” he announced on the Senate floor. “Nobody is getting everything they want. There’s give on both sides. But this agreement is the responsible, prudent and very necessary way forward.”

You know it’s a bad bill when Shumer jumps on it right away.
Anyone else notice, that this pushes the next debt ceiling debate to January of 2025, conveniently after the next presidential election?
Is this just coincidental timing, as they kick the can down the road, or is this a feature that BOTH Democrats and Republicans like, because we won’t hear anything about debt ceilings during the coming presidential campaign?
If there is strong and unequivocal support from Schumer, McCarthy totally got rolled.

Of course. Schumer, like houseflies and other vermin, is drawn to garbage. And this bill, the pathetic effort McCarthy came up with as a feeble attempt to rein in dimmocrap spending, is pure garbage. It represents practically no effort on the part of McCarthy (see ya around, pal) and capitulates just about perfectly into dimmocrap disaster policies.
