At least nine people were shot Monday night when gunfire erupted near a popular Florida beach packed with Memorial Day revelers, authorities said.
The shooting was sparked when two groups got into an altercation, police said during a press conference.
One person of interest was arrested, Hollywood Police spokesperson Deanna Bettineschi said during the news briefing.
Another suspect is still on the run.

"..crickets!!!" Every 'regular' weekend in Chicago dozens are shot. Many die each weekend. On a holiday weekend it is usually much more. Barack Hussein spent decades in Chicago, before he began screwing up the entire nation. No one bats an eye at the constant Chicago carnage.

“At least 9 people were shot Monday evening on the “Broadwalk” in Hollywood Beach, Florida. Police say there may be more victims.
Video from the scene shows first responders and beachgoers tending to victims. Another video, which you can see below, shows people scrambling to safety when the gunfire started.
“Police are responding right now. We have victims treated by police and paramedics on scene and transported to the hospital,” Mayor Josh Levy told the Sun Sentinel newspaper. “It seemed like people might have gotten caught in the crossfire. But I can’t verify that.””
